NEW CARMINE — Restaurant in Marseille

During my recent visit to Marseille, I had the pleasure of dining at New Carmine, located at Le Port de Marseille. This charming restaurant not only offers delicious food but also captures the spirit of the people of Marseille.

We were warmly welcomed by Margarita, a beautiful and kind server who made us feel special from the moment we arrived. Her attentive service added a delightful touch to our dining experience, and my daughter was so taken with her kindness that she didn't want to leave!

The pizzas were the highlight of our meal, each one bursting with flavor and perfectly baked using fresh, high-quality ingredients. The menu offers a wide variety of options, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy.

The worst customer experience I've ever had because there was a blatant lack of service. It took us 2.5 hours for us from start to finish from being seated to when we left. After we sat down, it took the waiters 15+ minutes to clean up the table and get us menus. They would rarely walk by and ask if we were ready to order or what drinks we wanted. Then, after we ordered almost an hour passed and we still didn't have our food, despite other tables getting attended to and served—they also ordered the exact same dishes we did. We were ready to get up and leave, but then the waiter insisted on compensating us free drinks (that we didn't ask for or want), and it took another 30 minutes at least for the food to come out when we were told it would be 10 minutes. It took 10 minutes for 2 bottled drinks to come out. We tried to get more compensation because this entire experience took up way too much of our time and for the lack of service, but then the waiter got extremely agitated and accused us of "blackmailing" him and started yelling in our faces. Would not recommend this restaurant, as we got ignored time...

Pretty good food, but most importantly this restaurant has tremendous service. By far the friendly nature of the servers was a welcome respite from rows and rows of partially open restaurants with wait staff that goofed off and didn't want you be there before 7:45 p.m.

I got the burger Carmine and it was very filling. Every meal our party has was beautifully presented and tasty.
