Let me preface this review by saying that it's very difficult to annoy me, however, this place makes me feel genuinely dissatisfied and disappointed. First off, the airport lacks any hot food and anything close to a "restaurant", this place is the closest match, this is not their fault entirely but it's context nonetheless.
The food is subpar, however, I felt that I had no other alternative place to eat. The prices make the in-flight catering options feel like a trip to Tesco's. I paid 7 euros for tiny pot of pasts and only 5 euros for a small bottle of wine. These prices feel askew somehow.
The plastic beaker that they served our wine in had a crack, and by the time we realised, over half of it was gone. To the staff's credit they were happy to replace the wine, and as a result, they were able to claw back another star.
The gentleman who replaced the wine is an asset to the cafe so will give credit where credit is due.
Im trying not to let the lack of variety at the airport affect my review, however, this cafe has left a sour taste in my mouth after my romantic trip to Paris. One that I will remember each time I reflect on my...
Read moreDuring a recent layover at Charles de Gaulle Airport, I had the pleasure of discovering EXKi Café, a hidden gem nestled within the bustling terminals. This inviting café proved to be a welcome retreat, offering a respite from the typical airport fast-food options and providing a refreshing and healthy culinary experience.
EXKi Café immediately caught my attention with its modern and sleek design, creating a stylish and comfortable atmosphere amidst the airport's hustle and bustle. The spacious seating area and the abundance of natural light added to the overall inviting ambiance. The staff members were friendly and efficient, making the ordering process seamless and ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
One of the highlights of EXKi Café is its commitment to using fresh, natural, and sustainably sourced ingredients. The menu is filled with a variety of options, ranging from vibrant salads to hearty sandwiches and nourishing soups. The emphasis on wholesome, organic, and locally sourced produce is evident in the quality and taste...
Read moreStaff with no basic understanding of customer experience: there was a busy queue with people willing to grab something before catching their flight but the staff seemed to have plenty of time in their hand and just continuing their casual conversation whilst serving customers. they were simply backbiting one of their absent colleague to the eyes of their customers.
My experience with the food was as follows: croissant was not fresh and not from that morning for sure, the coffee was poor, the juice was ok and the cake was nice.
Finally this is extremely pricey even though we are in an airport.
Overall, I do not recommend given my bad experience and to make a constructive feedback I would recommend the management to train their customer customer-facing staff on customer experience and perception, and ensuring when a premium price is applied, at least decent coffee to be served and fresh...
