We were really looking forward to try traditional dishes from Alsace and were recommended this restaurant. Sadly, we had to wait an hour to get our starter, a flammekueche, which really should’ve been prepared in 5 minutes.

After that, the munstiflette I ordered came with bacon pieces even though I’m vegetarian. We then found out there is a munstiflette in the vegetarian section of the menu and one in the normal section with the meats. As a vegetarian, I don’t see why I would be looking at the whole menu to see if there is another dish with the same name when the menu has a vegetarian section. I was also not asked if I wanted the munstiflette with or without bacon, otherwise I would’ve known about it. At least my partner enjoyed his jambonneau and our dog enjoyed the bacon I didn’t already accidentally eat… Speaking of the dog, they were supposed to bring her a bowl with water, but forgot for the whole duration of our stay.

I left barely having eaten anything and was very happy to have had ice cream at Gelato afterwards. On a positive note, the waiting staff took the starter and drinks off our bill. Had we known this was going to be the outcome, we would’ve ordered cocktails instead of ice tea.

Honestly, I’m sure the food is good at this restaurant, but the whole experience was really unfortunate. I do NOT recommend it at all…

Edit: the restaurant owner reacted to my initial review and said that we insisted on getting our starter before the main dish. They had not prepared the starter after an hour due to, allegedly, some technical issue.

Regardless of the cause, the fact of the matter is that we never said that we wanted to get our starter first. We would’ve loved to get it at the same time as our main dishes, since we’d been waiting for an hour…

In that hour of waiting, two different waiting staff members (other than the owner wearing the funky outfit!) asked us if we’d already received our starter, but none of them took the initiative to make sure we got it asap… This restaurant needs to fix their service and stop telling lies about guests....

My new husband booked this restaurant for our honeymoon and I was delighted. We had escargot, rabbit in Riesling sauce and pork chops. Highly recommend all three dishes! We also tried a strawberry tiramisu for dessert which was awesome. BUT! You have to try the house Muscat! It comes in a little jug and is the most floral white I have ever tried. A huge thanks for the wonderful and welcoming service and the extra touch of rose petals on the table.

Sometimes in France, going out for dinner can be intimidating if you don't speak French - this place is the most friendly place to visit and the food and wine is incredible!

Just to give an idea we had 4 glasses of wine plus a carafe (don't judge me lol) an entree, 2 mains and one dessert and it was around 80 euro. I think it was excellent value!...

4 of us went in for dinner on a very busy Wednesday evening. Arrived at our reservation on time and we were quickly sat down. Although menus were given, we didn't get to order drinks and food for another 40mns. It have us time to catch up but it would have been better to do it over drinks. Tarte flambée wasn't the best I've ever had but it was good. My veal kidneys were slightly overcooked to MY liking, but mustard sauce was good, and it was a very generous serving. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food. Besides the long wait to put in an order, once the order went to the kitchen, food quickly appeared. Would definitely give them another chance. Service was gracious and owner very nice. 3 stars for service were simply because of the long wait when we got there. Recommended but expect to be...
