This is a good place for dining in. The interior design is very attractive and it makes you forgot that you were in the city center because there are so much nature side in this restaurant, I really like it. We came there for our anniversary and we were placed near the bar. The ambience was very nice. Many people in the review would complain about the noise but when we came in it was great because there were not so many people inside. I think it could be noisy when the restaurant is full. The food was great, I got the octopus and it was pretty spicy which is great for my taste. But the vegetables that accompanied it was a bit dry. Afterall, it was a good dining experience. Just beware of the price for the dishes that's not written, it is better to ask first than be surprised (for example for the "poisson du jour"). Also for dessert we took "tout citron" (all lemons) which was very very good because we love lemon. With it I took "profiteroles" which was the dessert of the day. There are dishes that weren't listed on the menu, but you can ask for more informations about them beforehand then decide what you want to eat. I think what I appreciated the most was the ambience that reminded me slightly about Manhattan and also, of...
Read moreWe were recommended Canopée by our hotel and had high hopes, but overall the experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. While the presentation was beautiful, the flavours often missed the mark—and it felt overpriced compared to other Michelin guided meals we’ve enjoyed in Nantes.
The veal starter came topped with a pickled garnish, but the acidity was overpowering and threw the balance off—too picklish, masking the flavour of the meat. The burrata was a highlight: creamy, fresh, and well-paired. The homemade focaccia, unfortunately, was dense and too doughy. The octopus was excellent—tender and well-executed—while the crevettes were underwhelming and lacked flavour.
A beautifully styled restaurant, but for us, it didn’t deliver the experience—or value—we...
