Shalimar — Restaurant in Nantes

I wanted to give 2.5 starts because 3 stars is probably being generous. The only thing that tipped my review to 3 stars was the service because the waiter we had was very friendly.

Unfortunately having eaten in many authentic Indian restaurants in England, I couldn't say this is a great example of good Indian food. I ordered the Rogan Josh which was just nice/ fine but I couldn't say delicious and overall quite minimal flavour and spice. The rice wasn't that hot and overall we felt that everything was a little bit rushed. Nice very very nice food!!!!!! I really enjoyed it. During the weekend I suggest the menu around 20 euro, there is a lot of food and you can choose between two dishes, dessert and they also bring rice and naan bread (if I remember correctly). The water is gratis as everywhere here. They come near to ask if everything is fine and they also give you plastic bags with paper bags to bring the food at home if you don't...

Decent burger, great bun! However, service wasn't good when we were there. My burger was over done, my fiance's was under. She asked for the bacon on the side, and it arrived in the burger.
