This place was really great and felt like a true experience. Firstly very aesthetic, the sweet pig outside with a wry smile and the yellow frames, red and white checked table cloths and the interior inside. Obviously very pork based menu but they did notably have a few other dishes so enough there for others! We started with the pork assortment which was very nice but we didn’t enjoy the rounded layered items, which after figuring out what it was, Andouille de Guémené, which is very from this region! But the waitress was seemingly understanding of our dislike haha (google if you’re not sure, you’ll soon understand !)

Then the main courses: Pork steak with mashed potatoes and a cream peppercorn sauce. The steak was really well cooked. Not tough, not undercooked either.

The sausage with mashed potatoes and a pistachio creamy sauce Sausage was a lot more pink than I’m used to but the sauce was insane! I love the pistachio flavours.

The creamy mash was such a great compliment to both dishes!

Both were delicious! But highly recommend the pistachio sausage!

Definitely 5 stars for the quality of food but 2ish for the service. The “famous pork side” main dish is one of the best pork I’ve had, with a huge serving and a very tender cut. Frog legs and fried cheese were quality starters, and the Williamine dessert was basically drowned in pear brandy.

Only complaint is the fact that the staff didn’t have our reservation down on a Friday night, and instead of apologising the waiter grumbled about kicking us out once it got crowded. Not our fault the reservation wasn’t correctly recorded, but the staff acted like it was and let us know they weren’t happy to serve us the whole evening. Quite a downer when the waiter threatened to seat us all separately at the bar...

Tout d'abord attiré par ce restaurant, nous nous y rendons. Tout se passe bien jusqu'à l'arrivée des plats. Le burger nantais n'a rien d'exceptionnel, assez frugal. La mayonnaise est industrielle, les frites sont grasses. Je considère que pour 14,50€ on peut faire quelque chose de bon avec des bons produits, savoureux, et bien cuisiné. Ce n'est pas la cas. Malheureusement c'est quand plusieurs gouttes d'eau s'accumulent que l'ont décide d'écrire un avis sur google. La souris d'agneau n'avait pas de goût, dure et fade, peu assaisonnée. On aurait dit quelque chose de bouilli. La purée d'accompagnement était également fade et sans intérêt. Nous regrettions notre bonne purée maison. La souris est tout de même à 17,10€. Je pense également que pour ce prix là on peut concocter un plat de qualité, que le client peut apprécier. Une souris d'agneau maison faite avec un peu de soin et d'attention sera meilleure assurément. Le panier de pain arrive au début de repas. J'y touche à la fin pour "finir" mon plat. Le pain est rassi. Nous accompagnons nos plats avec un pot Lyonnais, un merlot (quid de ce qu'il contient) mais c'est de la vinasse avec quelques petites poussières en suspension dans le verre. Nous faisons part de notre "ça va, bof" en fin de repas, mais le personnel ne semble pas prêter une oreille curieuse à notre mécontentement. Voilà, nous faisons peu de restaurants, nous voulions manger quelque chose à un prix raisonnable avant d'aller au cinéma. Et bien c'est raté ! Désolé pour les propriétaires, mais il ne faut pas se moquer des clients, et goûter vos mets avant de les donner aux autres. Mais bon, si recevoir votre dû est ce qui vous intéresse, alors soit, mais ce n'est pas ce que vous êtes censés faire. Je ne recommande pas ce restaurant avec ce que je vu et mangé. There many of these family run places with unique cuisine types in Nantes. To me the service and food is fantastique and recommend a visit here rather than one of the many more touristy places. They open after 7p for dinner. Truly enjoyed the whole meal experience with my colleagues here. They specialize in Lyonaisse cuisine. Bon appetit.
