We asked for 2 cups of a fruited wine and they did not show the carte of wines... we trusted on them. When we asked for the bill they told as 4 euros. Then, the guy come back 5 min later saying that was an error and the real cost was 6 euros... A bit strange (a very small difference but a bit strange). His boss maybe told him something to change the price ( maybe because we were tourists)... So, just in case, I decided to only ask for seeing the menú or the tableau where It was written the type of wine and their cost. The waiter brought me to the inside of the restaurant to talk with another waiter, who was suposed to talk my language a little bit. The problem started in that moment, not because the 1 euro difference... This waiter never said sorry to me for the mistake. He started to get angry because i guess he knew he has tricked us because he confessed that there where not any document where the price was written (not in the menú, not in the tableau...)... He only told me that the wine was a special one for Christmas... If It was so special why didn't have It noted un any part of the restaurant or menú? Soooo strange... He shouted to me, he broke the ticket (as a sign of angry) saying that I was rude and started an scandal, not me... remember that I never asked to enter to the restaurant.. if only they have told us sorry and showed us the price, nothing had happened... Sorry but i felt tricked for being tourist and I wanted to contrast It and of course I was right.... Maybe the menú is good and the treatment for local people is excelente, but not was my case at all... And looking how they react even in Google to te bad opinions you can imagine...

Having looked at the menus and considered a number of restaurants, I decided La France (somewhat over preferences of others in the party) would be where we dined for lunch. (Okay, that gesiers was the first plate option somewhat decided it for me.) We were all quite happily satisfied, throughout the meal, with all elements.
Rare that, in France, one would tip at 10 percent ... we did so happily because of the service and the whole experience.
My only real complaint, which I share blame for the error, was that we found the servings so generous that we weren't interested in the third plate (dessert). One waiter said that it would be deducted from the bill but the waiter who I asked for the check from evidently wasn't aware and, my fault, I didn't check the bill before paying and didn't realize the error until later. Thus, we paid something like 15-20 euros more than we should have. ...

Canned, tasteless mussels in a salad, sweetbreads served with tendons and blood vessels attached, chopped into so small pieces that you couldn’t tell what you’re eating. 6 fresh oysters were definitely the highlight of the meal - fresh and very tasty - but they looked like someone opened them with a chainsaw and they arrived 15 minutes too late, when the rest of the table had finished their starters. Ridiculously small portions, especially the main courses. Half the table (including the kids) left still quite hungry. On top of that the bill contained a menu which was more expensive than the one we’ve had and the toilet was so disgustingly dirty that no one felt...
