Good location. Looked nice and we were hungry so we sat down. Not many people. We were two and picked a four top since there was no waiter near. They came over and told us they had a booking for that table, which must have been untrue, since nobody came along after us - at all - for the hour we were there. We ordered an omelette (cheese) and it was dry. Avocado toast was bland. It did have an interesting poached egg. The “Moroccan” crepe was completely inedible. It was as hard as starched burlap, with a chunk of cold butter that never melted in the 20 or 30 minutes it sat, uneaten, at our table. The friendly waitress did come to ask if we liked our food. I told her that the crepe was awful. She explained, essentially, that I must have never had a Moroccan crepe, and that they are supposed to be tough. I told her if that is true then this was the last Moroccan crepe I will ever order. She neither asked if she could replace it with something else nor otherwise offered to make it right. Rather, she made it clear the issue was with us. I did not argue. Life’s too short. Finally, when we asked for the bill they had overcharged us by one coffee (which they corrected with a short delay). We left, having paid, and did a good deed for fellow Americans on our way out by warning them of what they were in for. They dodged the web and left before ordering. Avoid!
I have been to Morocco; I know what a Moroccan crepe should be like: slightly crisp outside and chewy in the middle. Hot. This was not that. It had probably been frozen and then was half reheated. The cost for this almost inedible breakfast was €52. For that money, many places in Nice serve good food and provide nice value. This one did not, and I posted this review to assist others, including those places serving fine food at good prices, who deserve further success.
As for the response that places in France “do not change orders once placed,” this has got to be the single most unhelpful response (for Annette) that I can imagine. I didn’t ask the waitress to change the order. I simply responded to her question about our enjoyment of the food and waited to see if she would offer something to improve our experience and recognize the deficiency in the food. Annette did not do so, but rather told me I must not know what I’m talking about. Hence, the review. All parties can involved here learn. I will check prior reviews more carefully. As for Annette, she should not pretend to care about the quality of her guests’ experiences unless she’s ready to receive feedback and act to improve those...

I must express my disappointment with the dining experience at this establishment. We ordered the omelet and avocado toast, along with two orange juices. Unfortunately, the quality of the food fell far below our expectations. The omelets salad and the salad on the avocado toast were both stale, which greatly affected the overall taste.
Moreover, we were taken aback by the portion size of the avocado toast, as it was disappointingly small, almost equivalent to a kids' meal. To our surprise, when we received the bill, the total amount was 41 euros. I questioned this amount, considering the individual prices of the omelet (12 euros) and the avocado toast (13 euros). It turned out that the orange juice was priced at an astonishing 8 euros each. Although the glasses were small and mostly filled with ice, we felt that the ratio of juice to cost was disproportionate. It left us feeling as if we had essentially paid for water.
Overall, the meal was well below par, and the price-to-quality ratio was completely off. I strongly advise against wasting your money on subpar food and inflated prices at this establishment. Instead, if you're looking to spend a similar amount, and not feel like you got ripped off than I recommend visiting Clay at Plac du Pin, where you'll receive a coffee, juice, main entree, and two side dishes, offering much better value...
Read moreI don’t even know where to begin — eating here with my family was undescribably good! Every single dish was bursting with freshness, flavor, and creativity.
We started off with a classic: crispy tortilla chips served with creamy, zesty guacamole. Perfectly seasoned and addictive — the kind of appetizer you can’t stop reaching for. The drink paired with it in a rustic copper mug was refreshingly cool and beautifully presented, setting the tone for the meal.
Then came the pasta: a gorgeous plate of pesto linguine topped with a decadent, creamy burrata and juicy cherry tomatoes. The richness of the cheese melting into the herbaceous pesto was just divine — comfort food taken to another level!
Finally, the poke bowl was nothing short of art. A vibrant and colorful medley of silky fresh salmon, crunchy red cabbage, sweet mango, edamame, cucumber, guacamole, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds — each bite was balanced and satisfying. Healthy and delicious at the same time!
The atmosphere was relaxed yet stylish, and the presentation of everything showed real care and love for food. Sharing this meal with my family made it even more special.
I can’t recommend this place enough — it’s rare to find somewhere where everything on the table is this good. I can’t wait to come back for...
