First time visit (read the update also): If you often struggle to find a good carbonara, your search ends with this restaurant. Their carbonara is excellent — so good that I’m even sharing a photo of an empty plate 😁

The service is really pleasant. At the beginning they bring a classic tomato bruschetta along with some extra bread.

Even their napkins are top-notch. I know that sounds strange — how can napkins be anything special? Just come and see.

We also tried the tiramisu, which is one of the better ones I’ve had — wonderfully creamy.

Highly recommended.

Update: On my second visit, I was surprised again – but this time in a bad way. I came back because it was my last day in Nice and I genuinely wanted to enjoy their carbonara one more time, but it turned out to be a big disappointment.

The bruschetta was soaked in oil, the extra bread never arrived, and the carbonara was a bland, watery disaster. The guanciale was soggy, not properly fried, and the spaghetti was overcooked and even stuck together in places.

After we finished eating, we waited about 10 minutes for someone just to clear the plates.

I didn’t expect such a drop in standards. I hope this was just an unfortunate exception — that everyone gets to experience what I did the first time, and no one what I...

Went two days in a row for dinner. Be prepared to wait a long time for your food to come out (45 mins-1 hour). The orders seem pretty backed up but they keep seating people so it just gets more and more delayed. That being said, the food is good. Spaghetti with Razor Clams was 3.5/5 but the Truffle Pasta was 5/5. The razor clams were good but only marked down since the shells were crushed in some places and kept getting in my mouth. Went back for the truffle pasta the second night after seeing someone order it the day before. Super worth it, but don't expect truffle and heavy cream. It's more of a truffle sauce over a cream like people might be used to. Dessert was mid and the nutella cheesecake was kind of dry (seemed frozen). Service is okay but you can definitely tell that they're kinder to...

Decided to come here for date night since the reviews looked great but I regret coming here. Biggest thing that got to me was the extremely overcooked shrimp. It was the worst shrimp I've ever had. I am guessing they cooked it days before and reheated it for my meal but oh my.. it was like biting into a solid piece of rubber. I truly feel nauseous at the moment (we just left the restaurant). Customer service was just bleh. The waitress seemed to find it bothersome when we asked for suggestions. We had an appetizer that was recommended online of all kinds of seafood like shrimp, mussels, octopus, etc. Everything was overcooked and cold when it got to our table. I am sure they use frozen fish here. Just avoid. You'd be more satisfied with a 5€ deli sandwich...

It is not as great as the high rating especially in customer service and foods. I went there due to my friend’s recommendation. A female waitress was unfriendly and frowned everytime I asked her something that made me feel so unwelcomed. Also, a young girl who also worked as a waitress seemed unhappy and looked so stiff that I felt even sorry for her. The pasta was okay although the texture was a little hard. We Japanese are so picky about pasta as we have variety of kinds and taste absolutely delicious. In Japanese standard, I would say it was way below than average. The worst part was as soon as I paid the bill, a head chef named Thomas put a reservation plate on my table even though I was still seated like OMG... I left the place feeling unwelcomed and unsatisfied.
