I came with my family of 4 and we were seated around 9:20pm. Two of us chose the vegetarian plateau, along with edamame and miso soup. The miso soup was salty and crumby. The variety in the vegetarian plateau was good, but the soy sauce was also salty. I didn't think much about these minor issues, especially as my husband and eldest son enjoyed their food. But the biggest deduction in this rating came from the service - or lack thereof. Our waitress was more focused on leaving her job at 10:30p as she tried to convince my husband to pick a dish that takes less time to prepare. She brought edamame in the bowl alone and when asked for a dish to put the pods in, she said they didn't have enough dishes. She brought some drinks - lemonade and sake - without glasses; my glass of wine came at least 5 minutes later. She brought us a carafe of water without glasses, and as we were halfway through our meal, we asked for glasses. She hesitated and said "ok, I guess so" but came back with paper bowls that may have been used for take-out food such as donburi. The reason for this was that they were closing and there were no glasses available (as we found out later), nor did they want to make any available. We let her know that this was insulting to order expensive sushi to be offered to drink out of paper bowls. A colleague came over shortly later and asked us to pay as they were closing soon and had to close the register, at which my husband let them know his thoughts. We asked why they seated us if they were so focused on closing at a particular time; we asked why they didn't let us know all glasses were in the dishwasher; why they continued to treat us as if we were having a 10 euro meal (this would still not be acceptable); and why they're permitted to seat until 9:30p yet still pressured us at every moment of the dining experience.
Normally, I don't provide such detailed reviews, but I couldn't allow another couple/family to experience this without knowing I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Buyer beware. Even though we received an unprompted 10% discount when we paid, the experience was not worth it. Food was decent but you want to pay 20 euros for the service, not more. It ended up being a lesson to our young children how NOT to provide customer service in dining...
Read moreWe tried to go have dinner yesterday night, but there were 3 homeless guys sitting in front of the restaurant door, making it impossible to pass… i walked over them to reach the place, but once I saw through the glass door, there was nobody and all employees were on the high chairs playing on their phones as if all was good. Well, we tried to go again today to have a late lunch. Once we stepped in, the girl said that we couldnt eat-in, only buy and eat somewhere else…it was my wife and I but aldo there was another couple in front of us… really rude girl at the restaurant. And just a detail, the restaurant was open and ZERO clients… but the employees were still seating at the high chair playing on their phone as if all...
Read moreThe service was impeccable. Ignacia (the hostess) was so kind and helpful. We arrived around 9:15, 45 minutes before closing and ordered the donburi chicken, chicken barbecue, and the salmon sushi plate. The food came out quickly. All of them were amazing, and if we went back we’d order at least 2 orders of the shrimp tempura from how good it tasted in the sushi. The one tiny thing is that the space was a little cramped but the staff and food have no...
