We were drawn to its prime location among other dining establishments, making it a convenient choice after a long day. As non-French speakers visiting France, we anticipated taking our time with the menu selection. However, the staff's impatience and lack of assistance in guiding us through the menu left us feeling unwelcomed.
Food Quality and Pricing While the presentation of the dishes was good, unfortunately, the taste did not meet our expectations. The overall quality of the food did not justify its high prices, leading us to feel that we had fallen into a tourist trap. We have dined in other restaurants in that row and found those much much better. I mean the pricing is not an issue as long as they deliver. The cost of their food and service is definitely not proportional to what they’re giving out…well at least to our group. Considering that we did a big order. The paella (we ordered both regular and black) definitely needs looking into. It was bland, lacking flavour and does not reflect parallel to the pricing. The sangria was deceitful when we were charged around €80 + for a tiny carafe/jug.
In conclusion, despite the restaurant's favorable location and appealing presentation, the lackluster service and disappointing food quality make it difficult to recommend this establishment for a satisfying...
Read moreWent looking for food and as usual, the area is lively with lots of people walking around and eating at various restaurants. There is a waiter there who was very rude, not the darker one, a more light skinned one. I went on to order the Burrata salad, he started giving me so much attitude, telling me that, “it’s not the same.. I can tell you. It’s not the same” .. I was so confused, I asked him what’s the difference? He kept on saying, “it’s not the same.” Anyway.. I ordered the salad and took no drink because I was so turned off. My friend asked him what time they close and he said 11pm. We looked at our watches and saw 10:59. Thing is, usually when you’re approaching restaurants when they are about to close, they would at least say something. “Oh, we close in 2 minutes, we can only serve you this or that.” But to be giving people attitude with no explanation and your menu was still on the outside and when we were sitting, the restaurant across the street was removing their menu and you weren’t… people will still enter the restaurant when you are suppose...
Read moreMy niece and I came in because she was craving paella - and the waiter who didn't speak a speck of English, and we were trying to ask the difference between the two paellas that had shrimp and seafood (as I didn't want any seafood except shrimps). We pointed to the one that had shrimps, and he kept on asking "1" because we said "that's it" he kept on implying we had to order more - we even declined drinks and he then rolled his eyes and seemed quite dissatisfied. My unknowing niece said she thinks we had to each order something and I said "I have never heard of that rule" for an a la carte meal. So already was feeling i stepped into an awful service with prices that were already quite high. The icing on the cake came when the food came and it was exactly what I didn't want. So I ended up not being able to eat, my niece had the food on her own... definitely not kind. I wonder if it is the particular one older/senior waiter that is this disgruntled as I see some people had okay service. Food was no wow factor. Ambience was probably the only...
