DRY Restaurant & Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Nice

A friend and I were walking along the port of Villefranche-sur-Mer and randomly spotted this place and decided to walk in and ask for a table, we didn’t think too much of it. Firstly, waiting for a table was an annoying process as they were not occupied and there were a bunch of empty tables, so it was weird why they didn’t seat us as soon as we requested one. Nevertheless, we sat at a lovely table overlooking the water when the reservations guy finally decided to let us sit there, which we didn’t appreciate waiting so long for (it was a hot day).

DRY offers a creative selection of menu items with elevated flavors. I tried restaurants on the entire Côte d’Azur but only a few have impressed us in terms of food as much as this place has. We ordered a red fish curry with lobster roll, wow, wow!

The citron gel was delicious and unexpected with the unctuous bread of the lobster roll. We expected it to come as a roll, but it came in a super artistic gourmet plating for a ubiquitously named appetizer.

The drinks were fresh as we ordered a pamplemousse jus and elderflower iced tea, well done.

The curry was delicious with its bisque and perfectly cooked fish. Every bite was a pleasure and I would definitely rank this as a must visit if you are in the area.

The waiters were kind and accommodating and made sure we were happy with our order, it was a good atmosphere with the seating and also the young staff, you feel refreshed while dining with them. I totally recommend it to anybody looking for great food and to enjoy the views...

During our visit to Villefranche-sur-Mer, we had the pleasure of dining at Dry Restaurant and Cocktail Bar for lunch, and it was an unforgettable experience. The picturesque location along the water’s edge provided a breathtaking backdrop that enhanced our meal.

From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Our waitress, Lola, was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The rest of the staff we interacted with were equally impressive, contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

We started our meal with the guacamole, which turned out to be the best we’ve ever had. It was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and accompanied by crispy, flavorful chips. For our main courses, we chose the chicken burger and the fish of the day, poisson du jour. Both dishes were incredibly delicious. The chicken burger was juicy and packed with flavors, while the fish was cooked to perfection, offering a taste that was both delicate and rich.

The combination of excellent service, exquisite food, and the stunning waterside setting makes Dry Restaurant and Cocktail Bar a must-visit in Villefranche-sur-Mer. We highly recommend it and will definitely be returning on...

What a surprise! We stopped for a drink because it had a nice atmosphere along the water. We were greeted immediately by a friendly, smiling waitress - Mareana. I asked about different cocktails. She was very knowledgeable about each cocktail and gave me a great recommendation. We were enjoying the view and service so much, we decided to stay for dinner. So glad we did! Again we asked Mareana about the different dishes and once more she showed her knowledge of the menu and gave us great recommendations! We started with the shrimp lollipops. Excellent with the perfect sauce. For my entree, I had the fish tacos, which were creative, fresh and very tasty! Served with perfectly cooked fries. My partner had the octopus, which was also cooked to perfection with great taste! We very much enjoyed our dinner at Dry. Mareana deserves special mention as she is very good at what she does. She’s friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, smart, and patient (perfect English too!). In fact, we enjoyed our dinner so much, we brought friends back the next night.
