La guinguette — Restaurant in Nice

My wife and I stopped there for some appetizers and drinks. We ordered a Caesar salad, cheese fries and guacamole and chips. The service was slow. The fries were cold and the cheese sauce was some cold orange goo from a jar. This is France where they have the best cheese. This slime was disgusting! The Caesar salad came with cucumbers and tomatoes? The dressing was from.a jar and contained absolutely no garlic. The guacamole actually tasted pretty good but it was grey and was probably sitting around for hours! Don't waste your time or money on this horrible restaurant! The owner should be embarrassed about the horrible food and the staff that couldn't care less about the customers! If I could give it zero...

We stopped here twice during our trip. The first time was just for drinks. While the waiter handed us the drink menu, we waited around 25 minutes without any further service. Meanwhile, the waiter was outside chatting with friends. Eventually, we decided to leave.

The second time, we came for food since this was the only place open at that time of day. I had the pasta Vongole, which was quite good. My friend had the salmon — he liked it, but mentioned it was slightly undercooked. For dessert, I ordered fresh fruit, but was served canned fruit that tasted a bit old. Prices were average considering the location.

The atmosphere was okay, with outdoor seating but limited. The menu was okay, except that my friend wanted veal and they did not have it as one of the only options for meats. We waited 45 minutes for our main and appetizers to come together. Generally a really hungry experience at this restaurant. When we asked the servers to check on our food, they did not do so and ignored our request. I hope the management can do something about these issues. Food is terrible. No flavor for the pasta.
