La Table Alziari — Restaurant in Nice

Food was ok but overall terrible service. We had to wait 30 minutes to pay for the bill - or to even get the receipt. Though we were not very happy to wait with no explanation and not a nice attitude from the staff, we have waited patiently. When the guy - guess he's the owner - arrived I then complained why it took so long and with no apologies or no explanation, again, he replied that it's "malheureux". Worst service I've ever experienced in Europe, and well yes me being aware of the frenchy attitude since I've lived here for more than one year, this service is least expected and far most worst one. During day time I tried to go inside the restaurant to see how it looked (in the evening it was going to be rainy so I'd like to check the atmosphere inside) and make a reservation for the same night. As I was opening the door a waitress came out and blocked my way and informed they are full. I said: it's ok, can I just take look inside. She said NO and shut the door infront of me and walked extremely close by almost shoving me down the stairs. I was mumbling that I was interested if they had space in the evening and she replied: "maybe", with a really annoyed expression. Still confused I managed to reply never mind and left. Absolutely wonderful meal. Wanted the lamb stew but it was unfortunately unavailable when we visited. In the end, we got the petit farcis (grilled provencal vegetables) for starters which was absolutely stunning, and was recommended the Alouettes sans tête (beef rolls) which tasted amazing. The pasta that came with the beef was one of the best pasta we've had. We were also recommended the fish but we skipped that as it would have been too much food.

For desserts, definitely get the apple pie. One starter, one main and two desserts were more than enough. Their house pour white was also really enjoyable.
