We have just left today after a nice day with a horrible ending. We had booked here ages in advance and sadly when we woke up this morning it was heavy rain. We decided to go and fulfil our reservation at the beach club anyway because it wasn’t their fault the weather and we didn’t want to let them down. When we got there it was obviously very quiet and the host told us it would be raining all day and no umbrellas up for the sunbed. We agreed that because of the rain we would have some drinks etc in the covered parts and sat on a sofa area just in front of the sun beds because the sunbeds were too wet and no umbrellas were up. We had several cocktails etc first thing. Went on to have some lunch and then another bottle of wine. Our server was fantastic and helpful and the food was lovely. About 2pm it started to get very warm a complete contrast to earlier in the day. So I was laid on the sofa in my swimsuit for most of the afternoon with our drinks. We decided that because it was very hot to go and have a quick swim in the sea. I got out the sea and asked our waiter for a towel and he said yes it’s 8€ - absolutely fine with me. The next moment the host came over and started saying no you cannot swim in the sea, asking why I didn’t have my own towel and saying it was unfair on the other guests who had purchased a sunbed. I explained we had booked a sunbed but was told we couldn’t sit on it because of the rain and we had no idea we couldn’t swim in the sea? I was happy to pay for a towel what was the issue? Not once did anyone say we couldn’t do this and she started to say I had to change out my swimsuit immediately. I only had a pair of trousers and an open shirt so I couldn’t do this otherwise I wouldn’t have any clothes. I again said could we have a towel and she said yes but we could no longer sit here because it’s the restaurant - again no one at any point had said this to us or explained we couldn’t swim and it was the front sofa.
I had been sat here in the same swimsuit since first thing when it was raining - funny they didn’t have a problem when it was empty. She then started saying we had to pay 25€ pp for the sun lounger and swimming? Given the fact we had paid for cocktails all morning, lunch and also then a bottle rose which was still full I said no because we probably would have finished our wine and headed back given we had been here all day. I didn’t know what to do for the best as I had already been in the sea - I couldn’t do anything to reverse it. I was a so embarassed as she did this in front of everyone and decided to pay and leave. I went to my husband who was still in the sea who was livid. Our waiter looked awkward for us - we tipped him because he personally had done a great job and it wasn’t his fault. The two hosts went on to stare at us as we tried to finish our wine standing up and didn’t even say thank you or goodbye as we left. We were actually going to come back tomorrow as today was our first day in nice out of five but absolutely not - what a shame that’s how this beach club treats people who still showed up despite the weather and spent...

My recent visit to Le Temps d'un Été Beach in Nice left much to be desired. The overall experience was quite unfortunate. I was hoping for a pleasant day at the beach, but unfortunately, I encountered a few issues during my time there.
First and foremost, I found the service and attitude of staff & management to be subpar. The staff seemed disorganized and unprofessional, which was disheartening. It took quite some time to get their attention, and when I finally did, I didn't receive the level of assistance I expected.
Moreover, I was quite disappointed with the Food and Service. There were several areas that appeared neglected, staff not caring for customers, being disorganized and at times giving attitude. It was far from the inviting atmosphere I had hoped for.
Furthermore, the atmosphere itself was lacking. There was a general lack of ambiance and energy, and it felt as though the staff were disinterested in creating a welcoming environment for visitors. The whole experience left me feeling unwelcome and unappreciated as a customer.
Clearly management is only interested in reputation control (as clearly seen by their dismissive answers to all critical reviews) and not prioritizing a good and sustainable customer service & experience
Although Le Temps d'un Été Beach may have potential, my personal experience was far from satisfying. I believe there are areas that need significant improvement in terms of the quality of service and attention to detail. It is my sincere hope that the management takes these feedback seriously and takes steps to rectify these issues...
Read moreWell the season hasn’t yet started and the Temps has set the bar very high. I’m talking about their bouillabaisse. Now I don’t want to get into the endless debate about types of rockfish, seasoning, saffron etc etc. What we each had was a large bowl containing 4 saffrony-yellow perfectly cooked potatoes, fillets of red mullet, of sea bream and of Loup cooked a la plancha. Also a large fresh prawn with the head on but the shell removed. Then the theatre - a jug of soup poured over (as much as you wanted) and a side of croutons, garlicky rouille and grated emmenthal. The fish was beautifully fresh and perfectly cooked. The prawn had that fresh crunch which showed it had been swimming off shore only a short time ago. The soup was like diving through layers of flavour and shows that this kitchen knows how to get great stock out of their ingredients. For €33, on the beach front, looking at the sparkling med, you had perfection. I honestly cannot recall when I had a bouillabaisse of...
