Rudest Owner in Menton - Owner should become an undertaker! I arrived at 13h16 yesterday for lunch, seeing the restaurant so highly reviewed it was on my list. When I asked for a table the young owner ( He said he was the owner) said. "I've served enough people, i'm closed, I have too many diners and I don't need any more!" I explained that the hours posted said the restaurant was still supposed to be open and that I had come from Nice to try his restaurant and he said "I can order a pizza to go, but could not eat it here"! His curt, abrupt and frankly horrendous manners must be shared. On reading the other comments here on tripadvisor I understand that I am not alone in experiencing this behaviour. As I left he was shouting at the staff, it must be hell to work for him. Irrespective of the rudeness, I note that the prices are stratospheric just look at the daily specials from the photo I took..Owner should become an undertaker that way he does not have to deal with the living. I recently had the pleasure of dining at this small and cozy restaurant, and I must say—it was a truly delightful experience. The food tasted like a home-cooked meal, full of heart and authenticity, and the service was warm and attentive from start to finish. The staff made us feel genuinely welcome, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

One dish that truly stood out was the moscardini—tender baby octopus served with perfectly roasted potatoes. It was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. I also highly recommend the pizza with mortadella and burrata.

We were one day in Menton. Read good reviews and went to this restaurant. There were many free tables. My daughter set at one of them. The man came and asked us to stand up and leave, as all the tables were reserved ( though there were no tablets reserved). We asked if we could eat fast and go. The other man ( probably the owner) came and threw the book in our faces where it was written that there were reservations. It was awful ! We were absolutely polite , just wanted to ask about this possibility. Everybody was looking at us and my daughter was crying!!! So We left but our mood and the evening was spoiled.
