This visit did not turn out as expected. 3 available table with a window and one in the corner, still we were sited at a table right next to the cashier even though we asked to be seated elsewhere and there where lots of available tables. We brought a small dog, which was the reason for our table according to the male servant with a girl hairband. The female waitress switch to her on private clothes one hour before the restaurant closed and continue working. I know for sure that if the owner had been there this evening things would have be different since the restaurant has a good history, but for a customer you need the whole experience not just good food and we good have done much better, sorry to say, elsewhere this night for our 160 euro. It is located in the old town of Menton, where we could not find many decent 'restaurants' (you can find many eateries for sure). So when we saw its interesting Menu, despite seeing negative reviews, we wanted to try their dishes. But they are absolutely overcharged. Dishes are OK. Tart Tatan of Tomato was fun (although sugar grazing is a bit too much). Sautéed shrimps and squid were simple but nice. But that cannot be €50 in total, it is insane. That is for much highly-executed dishes and services or fresh seafood is hard to get.

There were four of us who had food, and two of us really appreciated their main course, while there were two of us who unfortunately did not. Those of us who had a less good experience had the same meal. The less good review goes to the Rib-eye steak, which was so tough that we gave up eating it. The waiter brought the experience to the kitchen, and came back with a longer incomprehensible explanation. The fact was that we did not get good meat, and there was no refund in the price, or an offer of a free dessert. The staff was so nice and attentive, so they deserve high praise.
