I visited Pep’s and Co for their scrambled eggs with avocado toast and was initially drawn by the promise of matcha. Unfortunately, the matcha turned out to be a syrup based drink with added sugar, so I switched to a decaf double espresso instead.
Service was fine, and the location has a laid back California or Hawaiian surf vibe. It’s set in a narrow alley filled with souvenir shops, which adds charm, though street smokers can affect the experience.
The scrambled eggs were underwhelming, bland, watery, with a slight cheesy taste. Pricing was reasonable, but the quality didn’t quite match up.
While not terrible, I wouldn’t recommend this place. There are better options in Nice for both...
Read moreMy wife and Joan were in Nice in October and came upon this cafe for a tea/cappuccino and to rest our legs from walking all day. The young lady Anais was very sweet and very pleasant to talk to. The pastries were fresh and beverages always hot. We decided to come here everyday after a long day of waling/touring as our last stop before heading back to the hotel. Found out that the cafe was family run and we had great conversations with them. This was the highlight of our vacation in so much that we are coming back to Nice next September to see more of this beautiful area. See...
Read moreI just had this Latte Grande I left it there after two sips (as in the picture) without being able to drink it as it was disgusting. I asked for just one shot of coffee and almond milk, it's what I normally have in coffee shops around Nice, I always ask for less coffee, but it seems their expresso is so long and watery that, although with that much almond milk, the taste was so strong, bitter and watery at the same time, and it came burning hot I hurt my tongue! Plus, it's the most expensive so far. Brume coffee, just a few meters after this place, it's 100 times better...
