Posto 17 — Restaurant in Nice

Do not go here. The waitress was verbally abusive.

She was generally rude and ignored us but then when the bill came - first it was the wrong bill but then we waited 30 min for the card machine. She was not busy, she ate ice cream and then sat indoors- ignoring us. We asked for the card machine six times. Then when we finally walked inside to ask the staff, we were told we had already paid and then when we confirmed that we hadn’t, we were screamed at.

Told that we should learn French (members of our group can speak French fluently but had been told by her that she spoke English) and then our waitress told us we were all “c**ts”. She then angrily cleared the table knocking over the water which poured into my friend’s bag, soaking her laptop. There was no apology. We were then all told that we were all pieces of shit. Totally unprovoked.

I have never experienced anything like this in my life. She wasn’t wearing a name tag but had multiple tattoos, claimed the speak English fluently (she certainly gets 10/10 for swearwords) and was thin with dark...

I went there with two friends (none of us speak fluent french), and asked for a table that was immediately given to us. A man (we think the owner) spoke to us in french and after telling him we speak english he told us to wait two minutes so he could clean up the table. Maybe it was a misunderstanding, but we stayed seated at the table as we thought he meant that he’d clean while we looked through the menu. Apparently not, he started violently cleaning up, threw a bunch of menus (way more than we needed) at us, and rudely placed glasses and cutlery in front of us, clearly annoyed. When he finished he shouted “I told you to wait two minutes”, just for us being seated while he cleaned. Absolutely disrespectful, there was no need for being that rude and violent, even if there was a language barrier. We got up and left immediately, a shame because the food...

Unfortunately this place is just horrible. Service was very chaotic and messy. When they brought us or food, we were asked if this is our plate and if this is what we ordered. Then they were instructed by the owner that this plate belonged to another table and they just took it away and put them on the table next to us. Food was plain and we got scammed when we ordered Aperol Spritz. We were asked if we want a regular or frozen one. We picked frozen, as we thought it will be a slushie consistency. What we got was just ice with maybe 10% of aperol. And it cost us 2 euros more than regular. Absolute scam....
