Seaside Cafe — Restaurant in Nice

We came accross to this "restaurant" (that is how is labeled in place and sinxe it was full we reserved for a couple hours later.

It was a shock when we came back and the waiter told us tyere was not service so she wouldn't give us a menu as in a traditional restaurant, they told as that we had to walk to the restaurant building (close to the terrasse), we went, we did the line for at least 25 min, then making command took like 10 min because they are making 100 things at the same time the take commands. Everyone has to go because we it's necessary to see the menu. The you have to wait until your food is ready and come back to the restauran and bring the food by yourself to the table. Moreover, they forgot about one or the plats we ordered and we had to wait for another 15 minues after they called us to go and take the order. The sercirs is not just inexistant, the little service there is is horrible.

In the entry a sign said "personal service" which I interpreted as a way of saying that their servirce is warm and personal, but what they meant is "auto-service" because the restaurant is small and under staffed.

It’s a bit inconvenient to place an order because you have to go to the counter around the corner and then come back again to pick it up yourself. By the time you figure it out, you might lose your appetite. Another staff member even complained that I accidentally walked into the kitchen. Just imagine how unintuitive it is if a guest can mistakenly end up there.

But the food makes up for all of that. The four-cheese pizza is the best I’ve ever had. Everything was very tasty. We had a great time. The view from the terrace is also amazing.

Hey, Great place, friendly service, affordable and delicious food with generous portions. I'm glad my wife found this place; we had a really nice lunch. The staff was kind to us, and the burgers were absolutely delicious, served with plenty of fries.
