Last day in Nice, yelled at by this bar girl and kinda ruined the great time I was having in this bar. First she said it’s a min 15 euros by card otherwise cash. I ended up paying for two drinks and requested her to collect the drink later. I went for the next drink and asked her to add coke to it. It was 3 euros more and I wanted to pay for it. Instead she asked me to pay for 15 Euros again. I told her I am only going to pay the difference and don’t want two more drinks. She started yelling at me. Very intense and several times. I was shocked. Other colleagues of her also started defending her at first but then when they realized I paid for two drinks. and also paid for the extra coke that I had, they started apologizing. But the one who yelled at me didn’t. Her name is Alanna or something like that (asian looking). She was kind of laughing at me. Unfortunate really.
FYI: the other guys actually don’t impose this 15 euros if you don’t have cash. I got drinks from them...
Read moreHello. I was at Wayne’s Bar once, it must have been 4 years ago now.. or more… It was great! Me and my lovely girls had an amazing visit. But all of the sudden my friend dropped a part of her phone case behind the table, furthest to the right. I had a mission. I needed to get under the table and to do so I had to crawl in between the table and the bench… this was a stupid idea I realized when I got stuck.. I couldn’t get out and nobody could hear me scream because the band was playing to damn loud. While being stuck in between the table and the bench I thought to myself that this was it. But then I felt someone drag my legs but I didn’t get out. People were taking turns to pull me out from underneath the table, until the security guard saved my life. When I finally was free I threw my hands in the air celebrating my freedom, and everybody cheered with me.
What could have been the worst night of my life turned into the best night for everybody ever!
Thank...
Read moreWe were in Nice and having checked out of our apartment we had quite a few hours to kill. Luckily the Wimbledon men's final was on so we wanted somewhere to have a meal and sit and wait for it. I googled 'sports bars Nice' and was surprised only a few popped up. Ed Obviously watching sport in a bar is not a big thing. Anyway Wayne's in the Nice old town looked to be in a good place for us. We went an hour before and a good job. It was quite quiet so we had some food but by the time our food arrived the place was nearly full. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced. Great service, got to watch the match (well the first 3 sets) in a great atmosphere. I'm not one for going to English/Scottish/Irish bars when abroad, I prefer a more local experience, but on this occasion, when we were already on our way home Wayne's helped make the journey back a much...
