Beautiful entrees, ok but pricey wine, main course fell very short, and we left hungry for 39€ a person. I wanted to love this place, but can’t say I’d recommend it. Rich earthy soup for entree with truffle highlight was excellent. Eggplant in corn sauce was to die for. Small portions, but well done. The calamari for the main was beautifully cooked, but the beef was terrible: cheap cut of meat, not tenderized, poorly butchered and needed salt. When the waiter saw that we only had two bites, he acknowledged the beef was tough. I honestly expected to have a glass of wine or coffee offered since we barely had any food, but nothing. Leave yourself in the hands of talented chef Juan Alberto Martinez who will delight your tastebuds in unexpected ways! The menu we were shown was just a sample so each of the 6 courses was a beautiful surprise!
The chef treated seafood in a gentle way to bring out the most perfect taste and texture, with the mix of French and Venezuelan influences being apparent in surprising ways. The most intriguing was the cheese course which will blow you away. Not at all what you would expect from a cheese course!
