We were very eager to visit this restaurant, as we had heard a great number of wonderful reviews about both the place itself and the cuisine. We made an online reservation in advance and also confirmed our attendance.
When we arrived, there were about four occupied tables on the terrace, yet out of all the available options, we were given a table directly opposite the spot where hot air from the kitchen ventilation was blowing. When we asked to be moved, the hostess shrugged and said that this was the only available table.
We asked her again to reconsider, as there were many free tables around, and we couldn’t understand why, having made a reservation in advance, we were offered the worst possible table — especially considering it was over 30°C outside.
After some back-and-forth discussion and presenting our arguments, we were eventually offered a different table, which was absolutely lovely in contrast to the first one. However, the overall impression and the way we were treated as customers were completely ruined.
The waitstaff were wonderful, the presentation was beautiful, and the food was good. We would have gladly given five stars if we had been welcomed as valued guests, rather than as people who had just wandered in by accident. Because of this, I’m not sure I would recommend your restaurant to friends.

Read moreCosy place to get perfectly executed classical French food. I don't often eat red meat, but when I do, it's typically what I'll indulge in. The beef filet from the surf & turf was tender, tasty, perfectly cooked. An amazing piece of beef. As for the tartare, it comes already prepared but perfectly seasoned, and the meat is cut by knife, not ground. You have 2 different type of breads to go with your meal, sourdough and corn (not the American cord bread though, not sweet at all). Special mention for the rhubarb / strawberry / shortbread desert, that was great ! Wines can come by the glass, all of them at the same price. It keeps the Bouillon spirit in the sense that sharing can be a part of the game, but not when it comes to price : definitely on the pricier side, but you pay for what you get. You have an outside seating area by a road that isn't too busy, and a very boudoir like inside. The staff is really nice, overall it's recommended if you want an upscale Bouillon experience in one of the nicest (read, priciest)...
Read moreThe restaurant only partially lives up to its claim of interpreting traditional dishes in a modern way. Although the dishes are well-crafted, they lack a little refinement. The kitchen still needs to learn more about the exciting interplay of flavors and textures; the dishes come across as rather home-style. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's not particularly creative either.
The service staff are polite and friendly, but lack professional experience. To our surprise, the restaurant does not have a checkroom. After some confusion, the manager agreed to store our coats...
