This is the kind of place that we are always looking for in Paris: a small neighborhood bistro on a quiet side street. The second we walked in we were locals, welcomed warmly by the charming husband and wife who run the bistro. The meals, two three-course lunches were both perfect from start to finish. The ambiance and service were garnishes to our favorite meal of our trip.
If you’re skeptical of a couple of Americans, the French couple next to us (the only other customers) were thoroughly impressed. The wife interrogated the chef about the dishes and scribbled ideas down in her notebook. She changed her mind about not having dessert because their main course was so good—she had to try it. Then when two men came in for just coffees she tried to convince them to eat, and told them she would be telling all her friends and family about Bistrot Monceau. So don’t take our word for it, take hers!
We will be back one...

We called to enquire if there was still some tables available and the owner and chef was incredibly friendly and started telling us about her menu with so much enthusiasm and love that we decided to immediately go there and we were not disappointed!! The owners are extremely welcoming, the food is just delicious, the chef is coming in and out of her kitchen to tell you more about your dish and explain again with so much love for her amazing products. We could see her smiling while cooking in the kitchen!! Wonderful place, wonderful people. Bravo!! Well done! I will be sure to share the address and...
Read moreUnmissable dinner. The husband-wife duo who work here were incredibly hospitable and ready to help any way they could. I’m not sure exactly how many staff there are in the kitchen, but I saw only Myriam, which astonished me as she delivered an absolutely amazing dinner. Myriam was extremely kind to me and my girlfriend, even offering her an entirely new appetizer free of charge when she saw her eating slowly. For the dinner price, 5 courses for 42 euros, it’s worth every penny. Absolutely charming,...
