Bô-Zinc Café — Restaurant in Paris

We found this restaurant when searching for a spot on our way home from an appointment yesterday, and were very pleased with it. I wanted beef tartare - my wife thinks it’s gross but I love it and try it everywhere that has it the first time I go - and had a chicken Caesar salad. Plus some deviled eggs to start. The tartare was as good as I’ve had and her salad ingredients were fresh, generous, and tasty (I helped her finish). Of course it’s a Paris restaurant so the seating is very tight, although we got relatively spacious ones ourselves (she’s very pregnant and we got there before the lunch rush so we had our pick; the place filled up completely before we were halfway finished, it’s very popular and is a lot of people’s local, apparently). My wife and I had just visited Musée Marmattan Monet. We walked around a bit when we decided to try out Bo-Zinc. OMG! We were greeted, by the bartender, with a most exuberant Bonjour and a smiling face. I knew we had pick a good restaurant.

We each had a tartine which was awesome and a glass of white wine. My wife drinks slow so I asked for a glass of Chardonnay. Before I got the words out my wine was in front of me.

I am not French though I try very hard to speak the language. Even though this is away from the tourist crowd she spoke very good English and helped me communicate with another patron of which we had a similar interest ... our dogs.

Definitely, if you're up near Musée Marmattan Monet and need something to eat after...
