A horrible dinner last night. Tasteless food. As if they cooked it with no condiments to season it. The portion of the grilled fish was microscopic in relation to its 35 euro per portion price !!!! It was like eating cardboard soaked in oil surrounded by onion strips no taste of the citronella that was supposed to be a part of it. Even the nems were a great disappointment: Tasteless, their sauce was watered down. The wild shrimp in coconut sauce was tasteless as well. The worst oriental meal I had in my life. The only good thing was the black sesame ice cream and I am not a desert person. We will never again put my foot in this restaurant. The takeaway asian food place, around the corner, deserves 3 Michelin stars in comparison to Ru. Last night was very disapointing , a "supposidely vietnamese restaurant". I visited Vietnam recently but what we (5 guests) were served here last evening is puting vietnamese cuisine to great shame. That was our personal...
Read moreHad lunch here today, on account of the mostly good reviews. I noticed a big portion of the bad reviews said the food was too expensive. I hate when people complain about the expense of a restaurant, because presumably they looked at the prices before they went there. So why complain if you signed up for this ahead of time?
But after eating here, I have to agree. I had a noodle dish with six small-ish shrimp on top, and very little flavoring. It was 28 euros. For a pile of noodles and some shrimp.
My husband had the Bo Bun, and it was 27 euros (vermicelli with some beef) Nothing special flavor-wise in either dish, but the bo bun was much tastier than mine.
The service was fine. The atmosphere was fine. But I wouldn't return - because Paris is filled with glorious food everywhere you look. It's hard to have a bad meal here.
And it's also hard to spend this much money on utterly BASIC...
Read moreFood poisoning alert! It’s so expensive and my boyfriend got food poisoning from that place… so yeah no. The vibe and atmosphere were very nice. This spot is super appropriate for a date night! We ordered les ravioles vietnamiennes (i believe it’s pork in there), papaya salad with shrimps, and for main the duck magret along with the beef bo lat. Everything was tasty and seemingly good until my boyfriend got horrendous food poisoning. I suspect his duck magret was not fresh as it tasted weird. I’d have given it a 5* but because of this unfortunate experience, I can’t and certainly do not recommend it. Very...
