Bisou. — Restaurant in Paris

Posting this after we got home tonight. We had a server here - Robin- who was so incredibly nice!!!! We were in kind of a pickle where some guys we weren’t interested in (just significantly older) were talking to us. They were nice but they wanted to come with us to bar hop and we didn’t really know how to let them down without being mean. We just wanted to have fun between the two of us! We went to the bathroom and our server stopped us and asked us if we wanted him to get rid of them. When we confirmed, he did it for us. So grateful to have an ally like that as a young woman!!!!! Even the female server (long brownish/Caramel hair with a handkerchief) checked in on us too as we were leaving to get our Uber. I just want to thank them again because that could have been a very awkward situation. It’s hard to deal with stuff like that and feel safe as a woman no matter where you are in the world. You never know what could happen. Our server also checked in with us AGAIN as we were leaving and recommended a place for us to go next, assuring us that we would be safe at the next bar because he’s familiar with it and knew there was good security.

On a total side note, the drinks were very good. We had fruity drinks, espresso martinis, etc. The vibes were nice and comfortable seating wise (note that I’m plus sized and was fine.) Friendly folks there all around working here. Couldn’t recommend higher. Meant a lot to me and my friend to be abroad and have people still looking out...

Edit- went back in March 2025. Still just as good. Sat at the bar and and was served by Manu. Asked her for "pizza" as my first drink and was blown away at how well she delivered a drink that smelled and tasted like pizza. The ending was dessert and she delivered the samoa girl scout in drink form- coconut, cocoa and a rubber ducky accessory to boot. So glad this place was just as good the second time around. Can't recommend enough. There are a lot of good cocktail bars in Paris but this one honestly is a can't miss.

This was one of the best cocktail experiences of my life! Adrian was absolutely amazing and took everything from "tequila, creamy and not sweet" to "french and croissant" and interpreted it into truly amazing and unique cocktails. The sheer breadth and knowledge each of the bartenders has and the variety of liquors and flavors Bisou. has means every drink is truly exceptional and unique. They say if you don't like it they'll make you another but all 4 drinks I had were absolutely spot-on! Cannot recommend this place more. Note - they don't take reservations so recommend going on the earlier side when they open or around 9/9:30 when the dinner rush happens since they...

This was one of my most favorite bar experiences I've ever had. As my bartender said- who is welcome to use the "tu" form with me (who wrote that in a prior review? Bars are for fun!?!)- it was sad to hear it was my last night in Paris and I agree. I would have gone there every night.

One thing I noticed in the overall cocktail scene of Paris is that there are a lot of similarities. There are a few places doing something truly different-- but this is so far out of the box, and totally in my wheelhouse. They are a step above all the rest. She suggested drink after drink that hit the mark and I trusted her completely. You name your flavor profiles and let the bartender do their magic.

Not to mention they have a staff that clearly are intellectuals about the composition of a drink, are excited to share their knowledge, and are truly enjoying what they do.

I am not sure when I will return to Paris, but next time I'm coming to Bisou on day one and looking up my favorite bartender!! I miss...
