Where to Go After Work in Paris? Check Out These 5 Super Secret Bars in Paris!
Galia MGalia M
We have been to Mezcaleria several years ago when the place had just opened and wanted to come back ever since. I can not tell you how surprised we were when we found out that there was another hidden bar that had opened inside Mezcaleria and it’s insane! La Malicia was just the place we were looking last night. It’s perfect for a date night with its dim lights, music that is not too loud, not too quiet and their cocktails. We have tried several cocktails and their pretty strong, but each one was so delicious and refreshing with original ingredients. Also, the amount of cocktails available is limited as some of the ingredients are prepared beforehand. The staff was friendly and available. Keep in mind that the place is very small and private so it’s not suitable for large groups, but perfect to bring your date. We will certainly come back.

TL;DR - amazing cocktails, amazing vibe, and amazing experience. Highly recommended! Detailed review: The entrance to the bar is through the kitchen of the Ceviche Bar that's located inside the 1K Hotel. Once my wife and I tried to enter the main bar, the waiter at the door replied that "there's no room in the main bar", and directed us to their *secret* bar - SUPER COOL! (In hindsight the space is more quiet and suitable for couples as opposed to the main bar which is more noisy and suitable for groups) My wife and I enjoyed both of our cocktails together with the the romantic atmosphere of the bar. One of the cocktails was custom made by the bartender and had honey (!!!) in it, which was out of this world. We highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Paris.

My fiancé and I had an outrageous event at this bar tonight. We were verbally aggressed by a staff member. The reason: we dared moved our seats when the place was not that crowded in the first place. Their approach was very aggressive from the very beginning, raising their voice and talked bad to us saying that we do not get to move around. We would have definitely understood and moved without any problem whatsoever but this person has an anger management problem and we were their punching bag and this is absolutely unacceptable. I told them that I feel uncomfortable and that he is treating us like we are school kids speaking like children to us and this is when he raised the voice even louder to us and he started threatening my fiancé saying “you don’t know who I am”. To be brutally honest, your staff member acts like someone who is ready to aggress us, this is shocking behaviour. Moreover, given this uncomfortable situation, we left without having the drinks we actually paid for, which is another aspect that is unacceptable. DO NOT, under any circumstances, set foot here, I advise you to read the Google reviews of other people that had similar experiences like our and assess the situation. We used to love this place but we shall never...

THIS PLACE SUCKS!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS I REPEAT : AVOID AT ALL COSTS The singularly most PRETENTIOUS place I've ever been to in my 23 years in Paris. If you're going to pay 17 euros for a drink it should at least taste good. The cocktails are god awful and the service is EVEN WORSE. The whole staff is a bunch of posers especially this little Parisian punk bartender with light hair, a 3-day beard, jeans , sneakers, about 1m80 in height (5'-11" maybe). He's completely head-over-heals in love with himself but for no just cause because he can't mix a drink to save his life. On top of that he has a smacked-a** attitude which made me want to just punch 👊 him in his face. A few girls around seemed disgusted as well by his Pépé LePue, dirty little French skunk come-ons... If you're looking for a good time in the City of Lights there are many other good places to go where you pay less for more. Don't waste an...

EN: First regret of 2025: going to this place. We went there to celebrate my birthday with a group of 12 people. I made the reservation days ahead. When we arrived, there was only chairs and space for 11, most of chairs were small taburetes. Extremely uncomfortable. Two minutes after arriving the waiter in a very hostile manner started harassing us to orden even if he didn’t pass us the menus beforehand. The staff was incredibly unfriendly and unpleasant all the time. Eventually at one point the table next to us got free, and since we were lacking one chair, one of the group took a bit of space from the other table and right away the waiter arrived screaming and yelling at him with a terrible tone saying that he needs to move out of there. After just one round of drink we all decided to leave the place. Even when we tried to complain to the manager and the rest of the team when paying they were very retaliatory. Seriously bad service ever experienced in Paris. Not recommended AT ALL. the drinks are not worth the bad service and disgusting experience and food is almost non existent and not even good. Clearly NEVER plan an event there. Stakes are high that it...
