Bistro de l'Arc — Restaurant in Paris

After completing a marathon, my friends and I decided to refuel at a nearby restaurant. However, our experience here left much to be desired.

We were surprised to find there was no menu available. When we asked the waiter for options, we were informed that only hamburgers and sandwiches were available. Despite the limited selection, we opted for a hamburger, hoping for a satisfying post-race meal.

Unfortunately, the hamburger fell short of expectations. The quality of the meat was subpar, and the overall taste was lackluster. To add insult to injury, we were shocked to discover that the hamburger cost a staggering 26 euros. While I acknowledge that I should have inquired about the price beforehand, I never anticipated being charged such an exorbitant amount for what essentially amounted to a piece of bread and mediocre meat.

This is our favourite local restaurant! The staff are always so welcoming, and happy to advice on what is best on their seasonal menu. The wine selection is fantastic, and displayed in beautiful glass fridges. They provide a high quality meat selection (steaks are amazing) as well as fish, sharing platters, pastas and burgers, and more. The interior is chic, modern and comfortable, with lots of things to look at and read on the shelves and ceiling. The location of the restaurant is walking distance from the arc de triomphe, however it is away from the "hustle and bustle" of the tourists, retaining its beautiful French atmosphere. The staff are very accommodating to group parties, offering a variety of set menus at reasonable prices per head. Save time and avoid getting there. Expensive dirty and mostly tourist trap. We ended up not eating there as they didn't want to serve tap water with our lunch 😕 You should be ashamed of yourselves answering me that I ordered carafe before I ordered anything else as it is a lie. Not only that I ordered glass of water for my son, I did that while ordering a full lunch of over 50 euros, including coke zero for me (as I don't like water). After I got the answer that you don't serve tap water in the terrace, I asked to cancel the ordered and we left this horrible place. Now that I know that you have 4 stars from the government, maybe I should submit a formal complaint. At least own it and apologize, don't put it on me.
