A memorable fine dining experience with refined French flair
Dined at Les Jardins du Presbourg without a reservation and was seated outdoors. The ambiance was charming, with well-dressed, courteous waitstaff and attentive service. Just a heads-up: outdoor seating allows smoking, so do book in advance if you’re sensitive to that.
We started with French baguette served with Échiré butter — incredibly creamy and rich, a definite cut above your usual table butter.
Le Tigre Qui Pleure was a highlight — a perfectly grilled medium steak served with a Chinese-style savoury sauce, enhanced by fragrant coriander and spring onions. A unique twist from the usual wine-based sauces. The broccolini on the side was tender, with a light vinegar-based dressing that added a subtle punch without overwhelming the dish.
The chicken from Les Landes was beautifully roasted — moist, tender, and flavourful. It came with a gentle curry sauce, reminiscent of a cross between Indian and Japanese flavours, and a side of mashed potatoes that were velvety, fluffy, and carried a comforting buttery aroma.
The Croque Monsieur was another winner — long and rectangular, crispy on the outside and oozing with savoury ham and cheese inside. We had rice on the side, but spreading the mashed potatoes from the chicken dish on the toast? Absolutely divine.
Lastly, we tried the lemon capellini — a rich, creamy pasta with a refreshing hint of lemon. Think of it as a French-style carbonara with a sourish twist — something special for those who enjoy a bit of zing.
All in all, it was a delightful dining experience. Highly recommend making a reservation, as the place fills up fast. A perfect mix of classic French cooking and...
Read moreMy family and I were on vacation from Miami, FL a group of 11 people with a mix of teens and adults. We decided to book our New Year’s Dinner at Les Jardins du Presbourg and let me tell you that we had the best experience, best service, best food, amazing atmosphere, incredible fun, outstanding location, and excellent and safe view for the firework show at midnight. Arriving to the restaurant was a challenge on New Years Eve because the government closes several streets to do the firework show at the Arch of Triumph. The restaurant is right in front of the Arch of Triumph, so we had to walk a few blocks from where we were dropped us to get access to the restaurant. The restaurant knew the challenges people experience and they did an excellent job to keep us informed about the logistics of how to get to the restaurant, earlier in the day they had text me a map of location and they provided a phone number to call for instructions on how to get there. I called the number as we were walking because I thought we were lost and I was afraid we were going to lose our reservation but they answered the phone right away, calmed me down and told me not worry that she will stay with me on the phone until we phone the place and she was so nice that she even went outside the restaurant to look for us and find us in the middle of the street. If we can give the place 20 stars, we will!!!! Extremely recommended to dine in and to spend your New Year...
Read moreThe food was excellent, and the ambience was lovely. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival, and the service initially seemed attentive and professional by all staff.
However, our experience took an unexpected and disappointing turn during dessert. After enjoying our starters and main course without issue, the head waiter suddenly approached us and asked us to move tables. The reason? A larger group had arrived, and they wanted to rearrange the seating. This request came out of nowhere, completely disrupting the atmosphere and taking us out of the vibe we were enjoying.
Frankly, this is no way to treat guests who came for a pleasant evening. We were both shocked and disappointed by how inconsiderately this was handled. A better solution would have been to wait for another table to free up or, at the very least, allow us to finish our meal in peace. Unfortunately, this unnecessary disruption overshadowed what could have been a wonderful dining experience, and made us not sit longer at the other table and leave.
It’s a shame because the food and setting were truly enjoyable, but being asked to move while eating left us with a negative impression. We hope the management reconsiders how they handle such situations...
