Good affordable bistrot, generous portions, nice staff. The waiter was alone and still managed to be nice and bring the food quite fast. We ordered steak-salad-fries, nothing fancy, 16 eur. We ordered them “Bleu” which is basically raw. They came “saignant-bien cuit” my partner liked it anyway, but I didn’t. The waiter didn’t hesitate to change it, and brought a new dish a few minutes later, which was, this time, bleu. Downside was that my partner ate his food before I got mine… but that’s not their fault, he could have changed his dish too. Plus I got new warm fried with the new dish. It is just the place to go with a small group looking for a true Parisian experience still in touch with true hometown roots. It is not gastronomic, it is not fancy. It has been my go-to place with euro-shocked tourist visitors for years; it reminds me of the great, tasty, unpretentious places we used to eat as college students, that served real - and not fast - food. Lots of inexpensive solid wines by the carafe....
