We checked the best restaurants nearby our hotel from Trip Advisor and Google. Google reviews for this restaurant were great (4,8/5), but there were no TA reviews…
It was supposed to be african-french fusion food, but for us it was just great confusion. We had drinks before the dinner and they were quite average cocktails, but served poorly. First we had a combo of the entrees/tapas, which were quite bland… For mains I had Thieb and my husband had Thiéboudienne (”unesco world heritage dish”). They were exactly the same dish - the first with dry chicken and the second one with fish with dozens of small bones. Tasteless, bland mash. Also the service was unfriendly and slow and (I’m embarrassed to say this, because I don’t usually critique personal things), the waitress smelled so pungent (of body odor) I lost my appetite right from the start. Must have been a busy and hot shift, but it just made me nauseous.
