I decided to make an appointment here for a haircut after reading the reviews and wanting to find an English speaking stylist for a haircut in between getting my balayage done. I am disappointed with my experience- both my haircut and being charged money for an extra service that I did not ask for or know anything about. You can see details of this at the end.

I have long fine hair with long layers and some face framing and I just wanted a trim. I felt like my stylist took about 5 minutes to cut my hair and I was noticing he didn’t have the technique or precision that I have seen from other hairstylists on many haircuts I’ve had in the past. He cut it quickly and asked if the length was okay, which it was, and then started blow drying. I had to stop him to ask if he cut layers into my hair and he said just one in the back and he said he could cut more but was explaining why it’s not good to put too many layers into fine hair etc. I am not a hairstylist myself so in the moment I tried to trust that he knew what he was talking about, and it was only important to me that he followed the same cut I had done last time and just trimmed it up. I asked him if what he did was the same as what my hair was before and he said yes, so I thought it would hopefully be okay. He used a blowdryer to style and that looked good, and the final result looked good in the mirror. However, as a few days have passed and I washed and styled my hair as I usually do, I think my haircut is really not good. I definitely didn’t get the normal amount of layers as I should have and now I have the dreaded triangle hair, heavy looking on the bottom- which is not good for fine hair. The cuts around my face framing layers look blunt and do not blend nicely.

Also, when I went to pay, I thought I would pay 59 euro based on what I selected in Planity, but he charged me 71 euro. In the moment I thought maybe it was 59 for the cut and shampoo, but then must be an extra 12 for the blowdry (he didn’t provide me with an explanation for the price, but I also did not ask). It also took him several moments to give me the price, which seemed odd at the time. After I left I was feeling odd about this and I checked on planity and sure enough the 59 euro was for shampoo, cut, and blowdry for long hair. I looked in my planity account and it says I was charged the 59 euro for shampoo, cut and blow-dry, and then the extra 12 euro for “Soin Sublime”. I have no idea what this was and I did not ask for it while I was there, and was not told it would be done to me at an additional charge. Apparently it is a “PH Regulating Treatment.” Again, I did not ask for this, did not include it in my appointment request, and was not told about it. Everything was so fast, I don’t even know how there was time for me to have received this additional treatment. This was very disappointing and dishonest.

I am unhappy with the haircut which seemed quick and lazy, and I am very disappointed that I was charged an extra 12 euro for a "PH Regulating" service I did not ask for, was not informed about, and quite frankly am not sure it was even administered considering how quick my visit was. By far one of the best hair salons I visited in Paris ! No Hair salon is perfect, and what might be perfect for me can be very bad for another client. Thats why I would like to review my experience in an objective way. The owner of the salon Samuel is a very warm welcoming man, makes sure every single client in his salon is satisfied, all the staff welcomes you with a huge smile , offering Tea or coffee and chocolate etc. The ambiance of the salon is classy and clean !

I am usually very picky with my hair, I tried many barbers in Paris and I had disastrous experiences. I hesitated about this salon because i thought they are more experienced with female haircuts and coloring. But a friend recommended this place and I said I would give it a try. I wanted to color my hair grey with a stylish haircut.

First of all Sinda took care of the haircut, it was AMAZING, She paid super attention to what I wanted, very detailed, very skilled and gave me the best advices according to the shape of my face and skull. She trimmed my beard beautifully as well !!

Then it came fhe time for coloring and Sonya took care of it. And the result is SPECTACULAR ! Exactly what I wanted. After 6 h of work as grey is complicated due to my dark brown hair. But at the end I am super satisfied,Sonya also gave my hair a hydration and reparation treatment after coloring it was great ! I am feeling super fresh and condident with my new hairstyle! BRAVO GIRLS !

If you are reading my review till the end, I would really recommend to try this salon, and again as every salon, you might not sometimes get a match and get what you want, I cant guarrantee that,because based on my experience with salons some were recommended as the best by some close friends and ended up catastrophic. Fantastic salon! The stylists were so friendly, fun and kind! All were knowledgeable and skilled. I recently moved to Paris from Washington DC, and this is my first salon experience here: I couldn’t be happier! Fantastic cut, highlights, and style! All stylists spoke English, and I received beverages, pampering and little French lessons. :) It was easy to make online appointment, and stylists produced cut, color and style unique to me and best suited to my features. It was like being on a makeover TV show. :)Will definitely be back!
