We came to Villa Punjab hoping for a fresh Indian meal during our stay in Paris, and were in turn very dissapointed. If you are Indian, DO NOT come here. The owners clearly give preference to the French locals over us. We ordered pakoras to start, which came out within 2 minutes after we ordered, showing that the food is not fresh at all. All the other food we ordered (chicken tikka masala, palak paneer) tasted like they had been made hours before and had just been reheated to serve. Portion sizes were also small when compared to the price you are paying. The service was also terrible. The owners had the audacity to ask us if we wanted to use spoons and forks to eat, and whether we wanted new plates to use after our starters. If we were white we would not have been asked...

Place is small but nice, although the food is average. Food comes very quickly after placing the order; starters (pakora) were over-cooked and too dry. Main course was OK but butter chicken (Makhani) came with a huge quantity and taste of cream (which normally should not be there, at least in all butter chickens I have eaten over the years both in India and Indian restaurants elsewhere) - also, this ingredient is not mentioned in the description of the plate in the menu. However they have been very kind and changed my plate at no extra cost. The banana lassi had very little taste... The staff seem a bit rude but in the end they are accommodating. Overall the restaurant is OK, but...

The food was good, price was ok too average of 20-30 euros per head, the ambience was nice; however the attitude of the staff was really bad, we arrived to the hotel using google so we did not have a reservation, but we were accomodated; however we were made feel un-welcome, kind of a discrimination, we were very upset and felt totally discriminated for being indians; however because of our tight schedule and we had walked for about 30 mins here we just had food and left, towards the later part the guy serving food tried to be friendly and had a chit chat with us, but overall left a very bad taste, heard about racial discrimination but experienced it for...

This place is amazing! From the customer service skills to the food. The owner is amazing, visiting Paris for the first time I missed my Punjabi food, this place took me back home and reminded me of my Dad and his home cooked food. Thank you for your amazing hospitality and congratulations for such a lovely restaurant. We look forward to dinning with you again.

Mais j'espère me tromper.

Lunch with colleagues and it was excellent! At times, I’ve found Indian cuisine - at least in Paris - to have too much oil. Not the case here. Ordered the Naan Massala and lamb palak and bioth were excellent. Will return for sure.
