Boulangerie Eveil — Restaurant in Paris

This local bakery was near the Air b&b my friend and I stayed at. This was where we got our first taste of pastries in Paris, and it was absolutely amazing! I tried the croissant, pain au chocolat, and chocolate brioche - seriously chef’s kiss!! Coming from Vancouver, CA where the French bakery scene is already good, I could say that this exceeded my expectations and I now could say that there definitely is a difference in the taste and texture of the croissants. I loved it so much that I got them again when we came back twice before our trip ended. Glad to have stumbled upon this bakery, and 100% recommend to anybody staying...

J’attendais avec impatience de découvrir cette boulangerie découverte via instagram (super canal de promotion manié par vos soins par ailleurs). L’endroit est épuré, et le pain donnait très envie (même si vu sa qualité je l’aurais peut-être encore plus mis en avant mais cela est sûrement dû à la disposition de la boutique). On sent que le.la gérant.e a souhaité proposer des produits de très grande qualité, et l’offre biscuits de notre enfance, brioches originales artisanales (comme tout le reste) garnies etc est plutôt inédite! J’ai pris, entre autres, un flan. Je regrette un peu qu’il est simplement été déposé sur un petit bout de carton et non dans une boîte. Je comprends la démarche de réduire les emballages et à ce titre ne pas proposer de sacs est honorable mais j’ai vraiment pensé que cela rendait moins pratique l’experience de transport et donc de degustation et d’achat. La brioche vanille était TOP, celle au coeur chocolat etait moins a mon gout du fait de l’amertume du choco (etant pourtant une amatrice de tablettes 100% cacao); mais peut etre est ce dû à votre générosité qui lui a fait la part belle au sein de cette brioche. L’accueil quant à lui, est « Ok » mais sans plus… je m’attendais à plus de chaleur en rentrant dans cette boutique mais en tant qu’ancienne vendeuse, je sais aussi que l’on affaire à des humains ;).

Bravo enfin aux boulangers, pâtissiers, et aux gérant.e.s qui sans conteste travaillent dur pour offrir ces...

Very cute little bakery. I got a crossaint and pain au chocolat for 2,60€ which is an amazing price for the quality! Both were amazing. The pain au chocolat has very dark bitter chocolate inside, so if you're not a fan of this you might not like it but I personally loved it.
