Stopped by on a Saturday evening at this popular, pricey touristic restaurant just across the street from the Lyon Train station with our 7pm reservation and unfortunately, the highlight of our evening was getting seated immediately upon arrival. After being seated, we waited more than 20 mins before water was placed on our table and menus distributed despite seeing others being taken care of who arrived after we did. Overall, the service was absolutely terrible because we always had to ask for things and when food was finally delivered, the menu items that should be delivered hot were lukewarm at best, certainly because our server didn't care enough to be sure to deliver our hot plates as soon as they were made available by the kitchen. To make things worse, one of our orders was completely missed so my wife had to wait 15 more minutes before here andouillette was delivered to the table. When it came time to clear the table of plates before desert, one plate was left and wasn't picked up until after he delivered the deserts. The French onion soup (Traditionnelle gratinee a l'oignon parisienne) was served hot and was tasty and delicious with just the right amount of tasty cheese and one large crouton. The Salade de champignons a la crème et graines de coriandre was served cold and was also tasty. The Noix de Saint-Jacques plancha were cooked properly and were also tasty but unfortunately were served lukewarm as were all our "hot” plates. The Belle sole meuniere is the most expensive item on the menu and was perfectly cooked and quite tasty but again unfortunately was served lukewarm like the rest of our plates. Desserts were very good but not really a great value given their price. Overall, we were not at all pleased with our visit to this pricey popular touristic restaurant mainly because the service was terrible. Management here must devote more time and attention to the quality of the service provided if they want to justify their high prices. We will not be back.

This place was very pretty from the outside looking in. It is super pricey, which is not a problem. However, when the food is below average and you're paying for it, then it becomes an issue. We were highly underwhelmed and disappointed in our dishes. I ordered the half chicken breast and mashed potatoes. Is the seasoning in the room with us? It looked so pale and the only thing that gave it flavor was the gravy that tasted similar to kfc's. My friend ordered a medium well steak, it came out medium rare. We addressed the mistake, it was sent to be recooked, only to come back out the same way. Super bloody (see in pics). We ordered the fish as well. When I say there was absolutely no flavor to this dish. My friend couldn't even touch it. When we got our food we weren't asked if it was okay, no one checked on us. Only after the dishes were taken away were we asked how the food was. If you couldn't tell, we barely touched it. I wish we could've got our money back. It was the worst experience and food we've had since visiting France. I don't recommend.

I had a good experience at Brasserie L’Européen. The restaurant has a stylish, classic Parisian feel — bright, lively, and with a great atmosphere. The complimentary bread at the start was unfortunately a bit hard and didn’t feel fresh, which was surprising for a French restaurant — you’d expect the bread to shine here! That said, everything else made up for it. I ordered the rump steak, cooked rare and served with onions and a flavorful onion sauce. It was delicious — tender, nicely seasoned, and paired perfectly with crispy French fries. The dish was around €28. I also had a pint of Grimbergen Blonde for about €10, which was excellent and complemented the meal nicely. The service was friendly and efficient, and overall, the atmosphere was very pleasant. The restaurant is elegant yet relaxed. The only odd detail was that some of the chairs in our section had wheels — a quirky touch in such a classic setting! Overall, a great spot for a good meal in Paris, especially if you’re looking for a traditional brasserie with charm and energy.

Extremely disrespectful and just purely rude! A group of 4 of us went to have a dinner there tonight. 2 of my friends wanted to have main course and the other two of us wanted to share a cheese platter, we all ordered drinks. When our order was taken, the waiter was very rude and made it clear we weren't the preferred target audience of the restaurant (if you don't wear a 3 peace suit and order champagne, you're not qualified to dine there + he made a bad remark about the main dish one of my colleagues wanted to order). He also insisted we have a bottle of wine when none of us drinks wine. Soon after we saw him complaining to his colleague in front of us that we are not all having a main coarse hence we should not be sitting there...(after 2 of us have ordered main coarse) ?! At that point we just took our stuff and left the place. On our way out I approached the waiter and explained that we are leaving and that we felt his attitude was not welcoming at all and really hurt us. He just said that this is because we're not having dinner and when I explained that we ordered drinks, 2 main dishes and a cheese platter to share he responded ''The cheese is to eat at your place, not at the restaurant.''......!!!!! I have never had anyone talking to me in such disrespectful way in my life. In fact, I work in hospitality myself and I would never imagine treating any customer or other human in such way. I strongly advise you all to never go to...

Fancy looking place but what a great disappointment. First, it took about 15 min for the waiter to come back to take the order after we initially said we need another minute to decide (we got the bread in the meantime, so we had at least something while we waited to place our orders). Mind you, nothing to drink, not even a tap water to go with the so so bread. Once the waiter showed up again, we placed our order for water, wine, appetizers and the main course. Once the food arrived, it was the main course, NO appetizers. Turns out the waiter did not put it in. As for the food, I ordered Rumstake, done medium. It was bloody rare. Waiter took it back for another several minutes. My wife at that time finished her fish dish (OK, nothing special) as it would get cold if she waited for me for my food to come back. Once my stake came back, it was the the same stake, carved somewhat, FILLETED and heated to make it “medium”. It was hard and dry. Unbelievable. Waiter blamed the poor food quality on the kitchen staff. You can imagine we have decided to forgo the dessert as not to add to the disappointment and frustration. Bottom line, AVOID this place if you are looking for good service or edible food. Plenty of other restaurants right next to it with much better rating’s and less expensive (although maybe not as “fancy” looking). What a...
