Relatively poor service. The salmon was ok, but the caesar salad had fried chicken that had a bad taste and tasteless canned green beans. The penne arrabiata which was listed as “spicy” in the menu consisted of a tiny portion and the sauce had zero taste and was certainly not anywhere near spicy. We skipped desert, but I can also say that the coffee was undrinkable - I guess they haven’t cleaned the machine since the nearby Aquarium de la Porte Dorée was built in the ‘30s. Apparently, Les Cascades is just as bad. So, if visiting the zoo, either eat at their resto (less expensive and not bad) by the gift shop or head back in Paris rather than waste money on this...

I was there today at 13:20. Sat at the table on the right from the entrance. Light-haired waiter with stye on the eye at first took a coffee and a dessert for me to eat there and then he took for me salad to take out - in a box inside of a paper bag. Then he asked whether I need bread. I said Yes. He took bread in a small bread basket, opened my packet and thrown this bread out of the basket inside my bag right above my salad’s pack. 🙈

What’s a foolishness!!! What’s a disrespectful attitude! You’re just hate your job and have no good manners, and you live in the city with great culture, but you are just a jerk!

Highly recommend this bistro/restaurant - very Parisian in its style but really reasonable prices across the whole of the menu. Staff were friendly and attentive, keen to support us with menu choices and chat a little. Definitely seemed like this is a place frequented by locals as well, which is always reassuring as a tourist or visitor. Sitting outside is a wonderful experience, particularly with the lamps and bright red tables in such a safe and green area of the 12th arrondissement, right opposite a large public park and lake. Just a minute's walk from the Metro and accessible Tramway stop at Porte Dorée as well. Thank you for a lovely meal and experience!

An absolutely lovely café with cracking food. I had the chicken and my wife had the cheeseburger. She had a "Florida" and I had a beer. Both were delightful. The food was a really high quality we thought and there was plenty of it. They also gave us a basket of bread for 'free' with the two meals. I have only given it four stars because, in a city like Paris with literally a café on every corner, it didn't do anything particularly to stand out. The prices were fairly high too but a lot of them are in Paris.
