Le Swann — Restaurant in Paris

We had a most pleasant experience and incredibly delicious dinner at Le Swann! This was our very first meal in France, ever, and we felt very welcomed and comfortable throughout our dinner. Our waiter, Roman, spoke English and he was so fantastic and accommodating to us, and the other waiters were lovely as well. I'll also add that the menu has English translations, which was very helpful. Regarding the food, delicious just feels like an understatement. Everything tasted so fresh, it was cooked to perfection, and absolutely bursting with flavor! This is certainly a more upscale restaurant but prices were fair and worth every penny (or euro). For reference, we had risotto d'escargot, gambas á la plancha, smoked salmon, filet de bœuf façon Rossini, and crème brûlée. Amazing food choices and menu. Great price for fine dining. Yanis our waiter for the evening was very polite, welcoming and funny. He took our coats upon arrival and pulled our seats for us. He went through the menu and made brilliant suggestions to meet our needs. The drinks tasted lovely. And the food was cooked to perfection. There was not one bad things to say. We loved the decor and the atmosphere was very parisian. The restaurant was at the right temperature not too cold nor not too hot. Yanis made lovely conversation with us and checked in on us throughout the evening. Perfect customer service. Grosse déception ! Je suis allée déjeuner au Swann plusieurs fois en déjeuner il y a quelques années où j’avais vraiment beaucoup apprécier ce lieu notamment grâce à l’accueil des anciens serveurs exceptionnels . De vrai professionnelle à l’ancienne. Malheureusement en ce vendredi soir de novembre après réservation nous avons été très très déçu . D’abord tout le monde est placé au même endroit alors qu’il y a de la place dans la salle donc nous retrouvons collés les uns aux autres avec les autres clients ce qui limite toute confidentialité. Cuisine je pense surgelé. Service très très rapide même trop . Pas le temps de finir l’appétit hop on se retrouve avec notre entrée. La serveuse pas souriante , brusque, pas sympa. Certainement bonne serveuse de pizzeria ou de restaurant rapide mais du tout pour un restaurant dit gastronomique. Elle a renversé du vin sur la table , ne sait pas servir le vin du coup on se retrouve avec du dépôt dans le verre. Nous avons fait la remarque au gérant également chef cuisinier qui pour s’excuser nous a offert un verre de Bourgogne que nos voisins de table avaient commandé et non fini la bouteille. J’ai trouvé cela très limite ! Les plats les huîtres top et fraîches, le foie gras bon mais vraiment trop salé, tapenade à l’apéro top ! Le homard avec rissoto ( 35 euros) très très salés probablement surgelés car sans goût hormis le goût du sel , calamars bons . Nous avons commandé pour mon fils un plat enfant filet fish frite. Un morceau carré de poisson pané avec 3 frites ( 26 euros) déserts très moyen et petite portion . Bref heureusement que nous avions la réduction the fork car les prix ne sont pas mérités !
