Café Albert — Restaurant in Paris

Went there with my girlfriend. She had gyoza and a Cesar salad. I had a south west burger.

The gyoza were 6 pieces straight out of a bag from the freezer and into the deep fryer and a sad salad leaf that was soft and a bit brown.

The Cesar salad was chicken mc nuggets straight out of the freezer and into the deep fryer. Pre grated parmesan from a bag, croutons from a bag and salad pre cut that was getting red/brown along the edges. The dressing was probably a bottle of Kraft dressing - definitely not home made.

The burger was pretty good with well tasting meet, caramelized onions, bacon and cheese. Fries were again frozen from a bag into the deep fryer but fine. Mayonnaise for the fries was probably put into the small pots this morning and stored in the fridge - starting to get a little transparent along the edges.

Beers and wine was good. Service was friendly and attentive. When we mentioned that the salad was soft and brown, she just joked that "it was bio salad".

All in all. A good spot on a popular corner. Cafeteria style food. Ok interior decoration, but nothing special.

To start, the staff is really really good, they are all very kind and professional, deserve 5* However, it’s still a tagged as a restaurant and on that it fails…this is more a PUB then a restaurant, but they don’t hide it, even the name says it’s a coffee, so… Food is not worth the price and really needs to improve…or lower the price to be fair. Not saying you can’t eat it, you can, but it’s not very good and certainly far off the requested price. The deserts were good, 7/10. Very noisy with music...
