I went to Café Daguerre at least a dozen of times especially because we were always well received and waiters were very nice to us. This afternoon, we had a different waiter who was extremely rude, since the minute we barely finished our plates, he brought us a bill saying ''it is over, you have to get out, my boys'' in French. When I reproached him his language he said that it was his manager who asked him to make us leave, charged us and left without a single word of excuse. I went over to speak to the manager who shortly apologized for his behavior. I do not know if that was due to the fact that this time I spoke English, since I was there with a German friend of mine, however, there are normally tons of English guests. In any case, I do not think I will ever go there again, which is a shame for his coworkers who well always very nice and...

I cannot praise Café Daguerre nearly enough for their exceptional breakfast experience! From the moment We stepped in, we were greeted warmly by the staff and seated promptly in a cozy and inviting atmosphere.

Oh, the food! So much food! We needed 2 tables (no joke) to fit everything they brought to us Every bite was a symphony of flavors. The omelette was perfectly cooked, fluffy, and packed with melted cheese. The croissant was flaky and buttery, just as it should be, and paired perfectly with the freshly baked baguette. And let's not forget about the fresh squeezed juice - it was like sipping sunshine in a glass, bursting with vibrant flavors and nutrients. And of course, the coffee was divine, providing the perfect caffeine kick to start the day.

But what truly sets the café apart was the impeccable service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every guest felt welcome and attended to. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made my dining experience truly unforgettable.

If you're looking for a delicious and delightful start to your day, look no further than Café Daguerre. Trust me, you won't be...

Seems to be a popular place with lots of people both indoors and outside. Staff was friendly and effective although I would have appreciated them wiping the table down to get rid of the grease and crumbs left over by the previous guests. Rather, they just plopped place mats over it. Food was a mixed experience for me. We order off the specials menu.

The wife ordered the hamburger with a local cheese and Serrano ham which she claimed to enjoy very much. She said her fries were also prepared well so she was satisfied.

My daughter and I both went with the braised beef that sounded like it would have been a winner, but the pieces of beef were very poor quality with lots of gristle and not very tender as slow cooked beef should be. The portions between what my daughter and I received were also very inconsistent. I received barley anything and she had more than she could finish so shared with me. The boiled carrots and potatoes were depressing and the only things swimming along with the beef in a basic broth.

Maybe on a different night it could have been...

Food 5, host 5 but the person we interacted with most (the server) 1 star! My wife and I ate at a few places so far in Paris and the food has been great. But in this restaurant, our server was slow. We were greeted warmly by the host, the food is great even shared photos of it with family back home. I dont often leave reviews. This place is a stellar choice but make sure you ask for a server change if yours is slow. At every spot today we tipped $10 US min and even $5 tip for a small Bree cheese in that same alley on our way to dinner here. But that sort of service where you ignore your customers is not good service. I refuse to reward that behavior and hope if we visit before we leave we are served by someone else who respects and understand the importance of customer service, no matter how good the food is.
