Maison Péret: A Hidden Parisian Gem in the 14th Arrondissement Tucked away in the 14th arrondissement, off the beaten path and down a charming back street, lies Maison Péret, a delightful cafe where you can dine alongside locals and soak in the authentic Parisian atmosphere. The entire street is worth wandering down, with a vibrant energy and a lovely next-door fruit stand adding to its charm. Maison Péret boasts a great menu with plenty of options to choose from. The coffee is particularly noteworthy, offering a rich and satisfying start to your day. While the pace may be a little slower, it simply allows you more time to savor the delicious food and enjoy the views of the bustling street scene. Maison Péret offers a genuine and relaxed dining experience, a perfect escape from the tourist crowds. If you're looking for a taste of local Parisian life, a delicious meal, and a chance to unwind, Maison Péret is the place to be.

I went to this place as it’s top rated on Googlemaps and it’s got the old-French interiors. I really wanted French Fries and some sort of salad. I ordered an entree and a salad and the French fries - the waiter was like: “That’s a lot of food” but actually it was just right though I did not touch the sliced baguettes since there was no butter and I don’t see much point with bread without butter. My entree also came with a salad. If anything I’d say there was too much mayo on the eggs. It tastes delicious but I ended up scrapping a lot of it off cos you know… calories. Other than that, I did eat everything I ordered. I think if I had nibbled on the sliced baguettes it would have been too much! Oh I loved the atmosphere! Full of French families young and old enjoying lunch together. No crying kids (they were very happy nibbling on the sliced baguettes)!

Stopped in here after reading reviews of places near to the Catacombs. Delicious lunch. We had 24hour roasted pork belly with honey sauce and a cheese and ham board. Slightly on the expansive side at €21 and €23 respectively but that's to be expected from a place in close proximity to a main tourist attraction in a capital city. The food was excellent. The meat and cheese board was huge, my wife couldn't manage all of it even with help and my pork belly was to die for. The waiter was charming, very helpful and patient with my stuttering French. The cafe is set in a busy street and has a lot to look at while you're eating. Great for people watching. I would highly recommend this place as some of the other food that came out looked incredible too.

I went here because the reviews were so high, but it ended up being the worst meal of my trip. The steak came raw and was the lowest quality cut I’ve ever been served. They put it back on the stove when I asked, but it was still barely edible. The pepper sauce had such an overwhelming salt and pepper flavor that it was inedible. Fries were cold, and the burger tasted old. The one bright spot was the waiter, who was very kind and attentive. Everything else missed the mark.

Response to owner:

I’m not sure why you think it is appropriate to bring up a separate review I made for an unrelated hotel from another country as a response to why I didn’t like the food at your restaurant. I’m glad you took the time to scour the reviews on my page instead of addressing a specific customer complaint concerning your restaurant. It would be more prudent to address why I asked for a medium steak and the steak was completely raw or how the “freshly cooked fries” came ice cold to my table? Instead of being combative to customers maybe look internally to where the problems are...

NICE BREAKFAST ! My wife and I decided to hit this place for breakfast on Tuesday. VERY HANDY ! After a very short walk from our apartment in the same street we arrived here around 8.30am. TABLE SERVICE ! The restaurant was empty when we walked inside and a server named Ana beckoned us to sit anywhere we pleased. We chose a table at the very rear of the place. FIRST UP ! We ordered 2 x double shot capouccinos. After checking out the slim breakfast meu we decided on 2 x Cheese Omelets plus sides of Bacon and some Toast. I also asked for a Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice. A BIT SLOW ! Things didn't move as fast as we would have liked but eventually our 2 frothy cappuccinos hit the table courtesy of sweet Ana. They tasted pretty good...thank you manager / barista Baskar. Soon after our Omelets, sides of Bacon and 4 pieces of Baguette toast arrived. My glass of fresh squeezed Orange Juice followed soon after. Everyrhing tasted pretty good...nice omelets, thick bacon and yummy baguette toast. My fresh squeezed orange juice tasted fine....
