Café Singuliers — Restaurant in Paris

We visited this café twice, and unfortunately both experiences were frustrating.

The first time, we took a 40 minute taxi specifically for their cookies, only to be told they don’t sell them after 3 pm, something we wish had been clearly communicated beforehand. Wanting to give it another shot, I called the day before our second visit and asked when I could come by for cookies. They told me to come before 3 pm, but never mentioned that the café would be closed for summer vacation.

So we took another 40 minute taxi ride again only to find the place completely shut. No notice, no update, nothing.

Very disappointing and a waste of...

The coffee and breakfast food is amazing and really delicious, but the service is just okay. Perhaps it's because I'm a tourist but when I ask for something it seems like I'm about to offend them. Seeing as this cafe was right next to my hotel, I still went quite a few times during my stay and would just take it to go.

Also noticed they don't always carry cash so you might end up having to pay with a credit card (which isn't ideal if you're a tourist and beind mindful of fluctuating...

I discovered this place on google, that is was actually pretty close to my place. But turns out this place disappointed me so much it almost made me sad. You enter in, and the place is so incredibly designed. But then, each time I went, I felt like I had to beg the waitress to just be able to see a menu or make an order. She was just so rude, not even saying hi nor goodbye. And on top of that, the coffee she served was terrible and overpriced for this poor quality....
