Tried the Ethiopian coffee I would give Cupping Score , 85 max , the barista verified its 84. I would overall rate my experience of the coffee itself as 3/5 but due to the unique aspect of expertise I would give it a 4/5. Milk is typical Parisian long life which significantly reduces the experience of a milk based coffee to an over-sweet / sour imbalance However this is based on my raw experience of the coffee and the milk . The selection of the coffee , roasting method and Barista expertise have managed to extract an exotic fruit back-note element to my experience. This was positivity surprising as I would expect to experience these notes on a higher scored Ethiopian, though I must say that it was only a back-note, it is not a significant expression to the pallet , it does not ‘wow’ , but it indeed surprises! Their chocolate croissant was probably one of the best I had in Paris at a coffee shop. Most places don't put much in their croissant, but this had just the right amount of chocolate to give you a delicious start to the day. Not to mention how friendly and kind the staff were. Denis was outgoing and friendly and has so many memorable ways for guests to leave a piece of something for others. From art to recommendations you can give for if anyone visits your home city. Read moreI like that the coffee shop has clear rules about how to use the space and laptops. No computers during weekends. This is the first thing I noticed as I sat down.
The place is spacious and can accommodate all sizes of group. Even if you come alone, you will find a nice table, and don’t feel awkward to spend time quietly.
The service is decent. The guy who served me was singing as he served and cleaned the table, and even entertained a baby who came with its mother.
