We visited Café Bottelli on our first evening in Paris as it was conveniently close to our Airbnb. Overall, it was a decent experience, though not particularly remarkable.
The food was fine – we ordered a salad, a main dish, and finished with a crème brûlée, which was actually quite nice. However, when we considered ordering another dish, the waiter suggested we had enough, which felt a bit unusual but not necessarily unwelcome. The prices were reasonable, and the ambiance was pleasant, although the kitchen was somewhat noisy.
As for the service, the waiter wasn’t particularly friendly but was polite enough. While this was a bit of a cultural adjustment for us, we ultimately didn’t feel unwelcome.
If you’re looking for a no-frills pizzeria with good pricing and decent food, Café Bottelli could work. It may not stand out as a highlight of your trip, but it’s a solid choice for...
Read moreMy wife and I felt really disappointed by the waiter, extremely rude with us, polite with others. We believe we didn’t do anything wrong, however clearly there was a change of behavior when waiter was serving us (other foreigners were there as well, but he joked and was polite with them). We spent a good money there, and in the end when I asked for the check, he said “if you want to pay more as well, feel free”.. I just laughed because I thought it was a joke.. but no, he came again asking “do you want to pay more?”.. when I said “no” for the tip request, the guy turned extremely rude back to my wife when she asked a question. Anyway, people can say it’s normal in France, but we were only treated this badly at this specific place…. All other places people were charismatic, or at least respectful. He probably thought we were from US and asked for tip (which would be wrong in any case) In summary, Cafe across the street way better service! Go there instead, and Lupin was also...
Read moreMe and my partner have came over from the UK for a 4 day weekend in the beautiful 3rd arrondissement.
We saw café Botelli and chose to come in and try the ciao Bella salad and the burger Gorgonzola.
Both of which were absolutely outstanding.
We came back for the international breakfast which consisted of fresh baked bread, a crossaint, an omelette, a glass of orange or apple juice and a choice of coffee all for 12€50!
We are back this evening for the beef lasagne, cheese burger and the happy hour beers, wines and cocktails.
