Caprice Café — Restaurant in Paris

This was our first stop in Paris as we arrived late and they were open and close to our hotel. We ordered drinks and a cheese board. The drinks and cheese were good. I asked for water twice. I asked when I ordered the cheese board and also when the waiter passed by later on. Every table had water on it but ours. He brought water to the table next to ours and kept coming to them asking if they needed anything but would not even make eye contact with us. He never came back to our table again no matter how hard we tried to get his attention. Finally, we went up to the counter to pay our bill because the waiter kept passing right by and acting as if we did not exist. We did not feel welcomed..maybe this place is more for locals...

Today, upon arriving from a trip to Paris, I was delighted to discover Caprice Café! A wonderful and welcoming atmosphere! We were served with great efficiency and friendliness! Really nice restaurant! We went on a Friday night and there was some jazz music which adds some animation to the restaurant. The staff is super nice and relaxed. For the food, it was good and tasted homemade. Portions are really nice and sufficient. You should definitely try the brioche façon pain perdu which was succulent and very tasty if you love desserts.
