My experience was definitely just bad luck. I will be as objective as possible. The place is beautiful and located in a great corner spot with outdoor seating.
I had just arrived to Paris and from my hotel I found that it was the only proper restaurant open late at night that was highly rated. This was my first time in Paris and wanted to try something authentic, so I had the tartare and wine. The tartare was delicious but sadly there was a foreign object in my frites that I found as I was chewing. In their credit they tried to correct the situation as best as they could and replace the frites. I decided to decline the replacement in order not to make the situation worse.
Strangely, I did find it a bit odd that they said that the foreign object found in my frites couldn't have been from the kitchen staff. An off-putting comment. As I left, I zoomed into the picture of the food that I had taken before the meal to point out the foreign object. So, there's that. Anyway...
Again, I hit some bad luck, which is a real shame as my first meal in Paris. I am sure their entire menu and dining experience is very good as it seems packed with customers during lunch time. Hopefully, this was...
Read moreMy family and I had the loveliest dinner here on our last day in Paris. The staff was amazing! Our waitress was incredibly kind and helpful. She made us feel immediately welcome and when she noticed us struggling to translate the menu she came over and explained every item to us, offered recommendations, and made sure that we were happy with our choices. We also noticed, to our delight, that another server went across the street to a bakery and returned with fresh baguettes for the tables, the bread was delicious! We ordered the beam (a fish we were completely unfamiliar with), the pork, and the steak for our main dishes and we wanted to lick the plates clean! We loved every bite. We were delighted to end our stay in Paris with such a delicious meal. I will definitely return in...
Read moreThe restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but the constantly changing menu and lack of options for picky eaters can be a downside. We dined there on two separate nights, and our experiences varied greatly.
The first night was excellent—the tuna steak, chicken curry, veal, and desserts were all exceptional. However, the second visit was disappointing. The beef steak, ordered medium rare, arrived practically raw. For the kid’s meal, we were assured there would be steak with French fries, but instead, we received a tasteless piece of minced meat. The third dish, meant to be pork with mashed potatoes, turned out to be pork ribs with a thick layer of fat.
Overall, the inconsistency made it difficult to fully enjoy...
