I have been sitting here minding my own business waiting for my husband and mother-in-law to finish up getting their nails fixed for just under an hour and have ordered 2 drinks. After the second one was delivered, the bill was also presented to me, and I was told I needed to leave after I was finished drinking.
I have been in Europe for 3 weeks now, and this was the first time I was told I needed to leave a restaurant. As most everyone knows, service is slow in Europe, and you sometimes have to ask twice for the bill. They were not busy at all. I am only left to believe as the only English speaking person there that may have played into this unfortunate circumstances. The rest of my party showed up about 10 minutes after I paid and were ready to join in with drinks and food. We were told the croissants were sold out, so we had to choose toast. However, when we walked past the restaurant again about 15 minutes later, it seemed the croissants were magically back on the menu...
The juice was fresh pressed, but with so much pulp you basically had to chew your way through it. The coffee was very avarage.

Read moreI've been living in Rue de Turenne for some months. I found the Café very well located, with nice decoration and super terrace. I had a breakfast last Sunday on the terrace. Very good. It was quiet and sunny. But, the nice atmosfere dropped when we had to cope with an unfriendly waiter. So antipathetic. Typical parisian waiter that you NO MORE want to see. I think Paris' restaurants and cafés really improved by being more friendly. This guy did not get the point. Just change of job. Period. I wont go back...
