Disappointed by the recent change It used to be our go-to coffee spot every time we were in the Marais — a real favorite. Unfortunately, our visit this weekend was very disappointing. It seems the owner and barista have changed, and with that, the quality has gone downhill. The coffee no longer has the unique taste that once made this place stand out.

What’s worse, the customer service was truly lacking. We told the staff we were happy to wait until a seat became available, but the person in charge was dismissive and unhelpful. Sadly, it no longer feels like the cozy, quality spot it once was. We won’t...

I honestly used to really like this place, very good coffee and quality over the aesthetic. However, i went this morning and was really disappointed if not a bit angry considering the coffees are not cheap: the barista wasn’t the usual guy but a new girl I assume. She wasn’t particularly welcoming but fine, the point is, she wasn’t trained and didn’t know how to make drinks. She burnt the coffee and used a latte cup to make a flat white with cold milk and served a cortado in an expresso cup with unfoamed milk. I would suggest hiring a more experienced barista or train her before so the place...

This used to be my favorite coffee shop. I now won't go back.

In the past, there was a charming British woman who worked there, and it was a chill place. The coffee was really good. It was definitely a millennial hangout.

I visited today while in the area. A young man served me. The espresso was not particularly good. While having my small 5 Euro drink, I pulled out my laptop to do some light homework. The barista literally shouted, "No laptops, sorry!"

I finished my drink and left. Wow, how this place has changed. It's not welcoming anymore, and the...

Here’s why I love these top 10 Cafés in Paris ✨☕️👇🏼 1. Cafe de Flore: A Parisian icon since the 1940s, Cafe de Flore exudes timeless charm. Its historic ambiance, outdoor seating on Boulevard Saint-Germain, and a menu featuring classic French fare. 2. Carette: A modern classic and personal favorite for its hot chocolate and leisurely brunch. There’s several locations but I recommend the one at Place des Voges the best. 3. Les Deux Magots: Steeped in literary history, Les Deux Magots has been a gathering place for intellectuals like Hemingway and Sartre. An institution that invites you to savor coffee and soak in the bohemian spirit of Paris. 4. Boot Café: Nestled in a former cobbler’s shop, Boot Café in the Marais district is a tiny gem loved by locals. Despite its size, it boasts big flavors in its coffee offerings. A great coffee on the go! 5. Le Saint Régis: Tucked away on Île Saint-Louis. Enjoy a serene ambiance along with their delightful selection of pastries and artisanal coffee in this quaint and picturesque setting. 6. La Maison Rose: Discover the bohemian charm of Montmartre at La Maison Rose. This pink-hued cafe, surrounded by cobblestone streets, exudes artistic vibes. It’s a great spot to relax, sip coffee, and take in the artistic spirit of this historic neighborhood. 7. Café de la Paix: Located next to the Opera Garnier. Enjoy Café de la Paix’s elegant surroundings as you savor a variety of French culinary delights, making it an ideal stop after exploring the nearby cultural landmarks. 8. Fragments: For a more contemporary vibe, visit Fragments in the Marais district. This trendy spot is known for its specialty coffee and minimalist aesthetic. 9. Café Les Nemours: Nestled on the vibrant Place Colette facing the Palais Royal and its beautiful gardens, this café offers a front-row seat to historical architecture and the energy of the city. 10. Angelina: Known for its opulent Belle Époque decor, Angelina has made famous for its rich hot chocolate and decadent pastries. Which is your favorite?
