Faste — Restaurant in Paris

After an awful experience at Paris CDG Airport, this was exactly what we needed!

Walked through the door and pleasantly greeted by a lovely lady. She spoke English which is of course is helpful. Talked us through how it worked in terms of ordering: half a croque monsieur or half of one flavour and another and add €2 for a salad or home made dessert.

We chose the truffle croque monsieur (with salad) and the original cheese and ham.

It's a small little cafe with a few tables and wall bar and stools. The lady bought over water for the table which was thoughtful. After a little while the food arrived 😍😍😍 It was INCREDIBLE. The bread was soft but crusty and the truffle and cheese was such a great combo. It was really filling but so satisfying. We need one of these in the UK! It was so nice and my partner also agreed.

The staff were so pleasant here and they have one of the nicest bathrooms... you need to visit to understand!

Such a great food and service experience.

Food: 5/5. Displays of the croquet options were very appetizing. Be careful if you come in hungry. Over-ordering is a huge risk. Preparations were fast. The croquets we had (Faste, truffle, and pastrami) were delicious. Very filling. Moist inside, crunchy outside. Cheeseful and meaty. Carrot salad a great addition. Caramel cookie: chewy, chunky, moist, delish.

Service: 10/5. The woman who took our order, prepared our foods, and served us, was more than amazing. It was a one woman show, and she performed outstandingly. She was beyond friendly, extremely sweet, service-oriented, and very proactive in everything she does. The business is lucky to have her.

Environment: 5/5. Small, cozy, homely, and very cute. Though small little space, very functional and well thought out.

Overall: Faste is fantastic with great foods and service. Did I mention how great the service was? I...

I walked in and ordered take out here on my first night in Paris. To be honest, I was really intimidated to order a meal with my limited French so this place seemed perfect to get something quick to go. I was immediately greeted with so much warmth and kindness despite the language barrier. I believe the person who helped me was named Nicolas. He spoke almost no English, but we worked it out. He invited me to dine in but I was so tired I just wanted to get in bed ASAP. He offered me infused water to enjoy and it was honestly the best tasting water I've ever had in my life. He was full of joy and you could truly tell he loved being there and took great pride in his work.

I truly felt so welcome and taken care of. I would recommend to all and won't hesitate to return on my next trip. The veggie croque monsieur was delightful! Maybe next time I'll be able to speak a bit more French....
