Ok hands down the best thing about this hotel are the staff. They work hard to try to meet the guests' needs and are very polite and friendly. The staff go 100% out of their way to try to make the guests happy and they have an overall fantastic attitude and that's pretty much the only reason I gave them 4 stars.
What I'd like to know is what makes a hotel a two star hotel? What standards should it have as a minimum?
When choosing a hotel to stay in there are really alot of things guests might want or expect Now as it is a two star I didn't have my standards set too high. What you might expect are things like cheap room rates per night. I found the rooms are very expensive considering it's a two star hotel but then again it is very central so you have a easy commute to and from the main sightseeing spots. For breakfast you have a lot of choice when you go for inclusive in the room rate but the problem is the quality Cons: 1)Bread is not cooked it is bought in half baked and served half baked. I can't really blame the waiting staff or concierge for that, it's the people at the top that should make sure the staff know that the bread should be cooked 2) Pastries are overcooked on top and inside is dry and sadly not cooked on the side(they need more space on the tray when baking they shouldn't be touching not more than 16 mini pastries on a tray at a time )they shouldn't look like chocolate more golden brown . 3)Butter should be left to come to room temperature a bit before bfast opens so it is spreadable otherwise it's very hard straight from the fridge 4)cutlery and crockery should all be the same gives a very good impression of high standards and care 5) definitely a big no (NO CRACKED OR CHIPPED CROCKERY PLS ) If someone cuts themselves or swallows a piece of porcelain I smell a lawsuit coming it's a Big health and safety no no. Pls note that there are many B&Bs and one star hotels that follow these simple standards. Now if these issues were resolved I feel this hotel could be on its way to three stars Especially with the staff and nice rooms, I Just hope it can improve on what...
Read moreFor a quick 3-night stay in Paris, this hotel was a nice place to relax.||It can be a little bit hard to find since the outside looks more like the entrance to an office building, and it's along a narrow road where there are most cafés than there is housing. However, when you enter, you are greeted to very kind staff that can speak English (so, don't fret English-speakers!) and they offer their guidance on how to have the best vacation possible.||I didn't try their breakfast, but from what I could see, their eating area was pretty compact where roughly 20 people could eat at a time. I also saw fruit and bread, but nothing much beyond that. I'd say it's better to eat out for breakfast if you want more distance and variety.||My room was on the first floor, and it had one bed that could fit two people. Just like the breakfast area, it was compact with the essentials, and it's definitely suited for a vacation where all you need out of a bedroom is to go right to sleep.||The TV was good, but there was only one English-speaking channel that I could find: CNN. Not that it factors into my rating, this part is simply to inform.||The bed was soft, the shower and toilet were functional, and no air conditioning (but that's Europe, in general). I also requested my room to be clean at 8 in the morning, and by the time I returned from my adventures, it STILL wasn't clean. The housekeeper came by at 2pm to ask if I wanted my sheets changed, just as I was going to take my afternoon nap. That's a very long wait, and I wasn't in the mood to leave my room and wait for him to be finished, so I turned him away. I'd say waiting so long to clean a room that was personally requested to be checked on is my biggest complaint with this hotel.||My vacation was wonderful, and this hotel was just good enough to give me a good night's rest. But, for those interested in staying here, keep in mind that it is a minimalistic location. Do not expect fancy bedrooms or food during your stay. Doesn't make it bad, but it's important to spend 90% of your day outside and come back here for...
Read moreWe booked our room 2 month prior to our visit. 1,5 month after we booked this hotel contacted me to validate my credit card (even though all data was available) through the booking app. They cancelled our booking 5 days afterwards without calling me or sending me a direct e-mail. I‘m a frequent traveller and never had such a situation that I wanted to pay and the hotel simply increased their offer by 35%. Now we booked with another hotel but had to pay way more. Absolutly no customer service.
Edit after reply: I continuously got messages from booking that you didn‘t accept my card and I continuously updated my card even though everything was correct. I see so many bad reviews both here and on booking on exactly this issue. And then you gave me four days between sending the „payment link“ and cancelling my order and expect that I daily check the booking.com app. That is not a „bad feelings review“ and I‘m sure you guys have a good hotel, but you gotta figure out how to improve the communication to the customer and the way of paying. With all the hotels I booked in my life, they validated credit cards via booking and not via a separate link and they always called or reached out before simply cancelling a booking if anything was unclear. And you have my correct phone number but I checked, no one ever tried to reach out. This is simply a feedback from me which to look into the issues of you payment process. If you want to improve it or not is up to you. However it left me extremely unsatisfied, it did cost me a lot of money because I had to book a different much more expensive hotel last minute.
And as long as you won‘t review this particular „payment link“ process which seems to leave quite a lot of customers unhappy and seems to be very specific to your hotel, this review will stay here.
You have my phone number and mail address, we called several times. If you have an improvement or want to further discuss, feel free to...
